The Dutch are famous at the modern tour. They love camping in their vans on the major Alp climbs. They make a mini party out of it. They all wear orange too. This year there is a Dutch climber called Robert Gesink riding for Rabobank. They will be cheering him on no doubt.

Le Tour la France ....I recall them coming through the Netherlands , when I was a kid, close to my home town ...we got the day of school to cheer them on ...we all biked over to the course ( 1950 ???) ...memories !!

He has worked on his climbing and this was evidenced when he won Milan San Remo earlier this year. I think more than ever before he has a great chance of finishing. If he is in a tussle for the Green Jersey I don't think he will pack. The new sponsor HTC could not have come on at a better time.

Team Type 1 - 2 - I am on a cycling distance site called Bikejournal. On there is a rider named Zin from Team Type2.

Indeed Cav is a great sprinter... hope he spent off season working on climbing, though... IIRC he failed miserably on the climbs at the final stage of Tour of Ireland last year.

Here in US I've of course been more closely following Team Type 1 and Team Type 2...
