so i've been diabetic for some time now but haven't gotten into any of these group things online. was just passing through and thought i'd do a little whatever.

soooo... how about a little about me?

i was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when i was in my junior year of high school. i don't know that i ever really thought it was that horrible. everyone's got something, right? figured this was just my thing for now. i've been lucky enough to never really have any problems with it. i've only been in the hospital with diabetic related junk once. was on a little trip through idaho. took the bus, a bag full of insulin and poptarts, and my skateboard. turns out that may have not been the best idea. so i did a couple days of that trip with ketoacidosis.. or however it's spelled. since then i've managed my trips a little better and have now been through 49 states. yet to see hawaii.. maybe next year.

another little random thing that's diabetes related in some way is that i started running last year.. for exercise.. not for president or anything.. but feel free to vote for me next time around anyways. but back to where i was. i ended up doing my first half marathon in early june. didn't have my sugars where i wanted them exactly that day, so didn't do as well as i probably could have.. but i got it done. so that's something.

and right now i'm a teacher. like literally... right now. day's about to start. so i should go. just thought i'd leave a little whatever on here for anyone that's interested.

see you around =)
