Saturday evening, we went to a fabulous birthday party for our friend Gillian!
The party was a formal "black & white" theme.
So, us ladies headed to the mall for a hair and make up appointment.

My hair was is sad, sad shape - so I decided to go dark and try out some braids.
This was me on the way in...

After my hair was completed, I headed to MAC, where the awesome Krysta transformed me into a work of art!
My eyes looked A M A Z I N G!

I am defintely not a fashion blogger, but I had to share the details for my dress.
I scored this adorable, Adrianna Papell Strapless Tulle dress online at
I never successfully buy dresses online.
I took a gamble and WOW, for 120 bucks this dress is a steal!

How cute are they?!?!

If you're wondering where I hid DEX, I used my iPOD armband strap and tied him to my thigh.

It was a very fun evening.
Glen's mom had a blast and we met a ton of new friends!

Training Update

Saturday morning, I had my 10 mile long run.
I woke up at 5am and my blood sugar was good.
When I started running, my previously injured foot was feeling sore.
By mile 5, I knew something was wrong.
By mile 9, I was in pain.
I ended at 9.5
1 hr 30 min.
I ended with 20 minutes in an ice bath.
I decided it would be best to stick to pool running this week.
I WILL be running in FL on Nov 18th.
(even if Melissa has to take me from the finish line to the hospital)
