Registered members of Changing Life With Diabetes have access to valuable menu planning tools.

I was thinking it may help in many ways so I am going to give it a try and see.

Maybe someone out there will find it usefull in their life as well.

here is what it came up with on a 2000 cal per day plan

2/3 cup nonfat plain or artificially sweetened yogurt (1 milk)
1 cup cooked oatmeal (2 starches)
2 chopped walnut halves (1/2 fat)
3/4 cup canned peaches (3/4 fruit)
1 slice toasted whole-wheat bread (1 starch)
1 tbsp reduced-fat margarine (1 fat)

Carbohydrates (g): 52

Deli Sandwich:
2 slices pumpernickel bread (2 starches)
2 oz sliced turkey ham deli meat (2 very lean meats)
1 slice (1 oz) Swiss cheese (1 high-fat meat)
1 tbsp reduced-fat mayonnaise (1 fat)
1/4 (2 oz) avocado slices (1 1/2 fats)
2 tomato slices,
shaved red onion slices,
1 large lettuce leaf (free)
1/2 cup cucumber strips,
1/2 cup carrot sticks,
1/2 cup celery sticks (2 vegetables)
1 large dill pickle (free)
1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese (2 very lean meats)
1 cup canned apricots (2 fruits)

Carbohydrates (g): 71

Oriental Sesame Beef Stir-fry
(2 3/4 starches, 3 vegetables, 1 lean meat, and 1 medium-fat meat)

Dinner salad (3 vegetables) with
2 Tbsp reduced-fat salad dressing (1 fat)
1/2 cup frozen nonfat yogurt (1 carbohydrate)

Carbohydrates (g): 88

1 orange
1 small apple (2 fruits)

Carbohydrates (g): 24

Oh my gosh.. the EXCHANGE SYSTEM! I thought that went out of style YEARS ago... wow!

I was thinking it does not seem right compaired to what I am eating now.
