I am getting very close with my new boyfriend, DEX.
How close?
Well, um...we're kinda stuck to each other 24/7.
literally

DEX* is my new, super-awesome, continuous glucose monitor.

*The Dexcom® SEVEN® PLUS CGM System is an easy-to-use wireless device that is designed to simplify glucose management.   The system is made up of three components: the sensor, transmitter, and receiver.   It can show you a new glucose reading every 5 minutes for up to 7 days of uninterrupted wear-time.

The Receiver is a wireless device that displays glucose trends quickly & easily to allow you to see where your glucose has been, where it is, and where it's heading.
At about the size and weight of a cell phone, you can clip the receiver to your belt, put it in your pocket or handbag.
Everything you want to see about your glucose at a glance!

What makes DEX amazing?

Instead of a ton of finger pricking all day - I'm down to 3.
awesome
It also has sound and vibrating alarms to let me know when my bs is falling too low or getting too high.
awesome
It allows me to download the data to my laptop and then I can email my Dr. the info so they can adjust my insulin via email!
awesome

I love that I can see at any moment what is happening with my sugar!
During my 5 mile Tempo run this morning for instance, I felt out of breath & tired at mile 3.
I stopped and checked DEX and saw my sugar was shooting thru the roof - 275.
So, I stopped and gave myself some insulin.
I felt a thousand times better after that and finished my run.
I used to hate stopping while I ran, but now it's a must!
5 miles - 46 minutes
I'll take it!

I had to make a trip to lululemon before I went home...
Nothing makes you run faster, than new running gear!!!
right?

~ THANK YOU HONEY,  I LOVE YOU

Breath Of Fire Skirt

I head home tomorrow and I can't wait!

I miss my husband, my Karen and my condo!

Are you a lulu lover?
If not, what's your favorite workout clothes brand?

Your new boyfriend looks a lot like my new girlfriend. And she is 7+ also. They must be twins. :)
