I was diagnosed about 2 months type II. My feet are already a problem and now my eyes seem to be irritated and burn and water a lot. Is the eye thing possibly diabetes related?

Not sure exactly what your status is, but your eyes could be adjusting to lower or higher BG levels depending on how your number are going. it wouldn't hurt to make an appointment with an ophthalmologist to have them looked at. Funny, for me personally I have been to the doctor more times in the 2 months since my dx then 10 years before. since I have gotten my BG in good range, all these other ailments just crept up on me. ah the joys of this disease.

I go to a specialist who keeps track of my eyes -- better to be checked for retinopathy, glaucoma and cataracts before they are a problem. I have the same symptoms plus blurry mornings so I'm just always kind to my eyes. I have early signs of retinopothy so I get checked every 6 months. They gave me some eye drops to help - Bausch & Lomb Soothe XP. I always wear sunglasses outside. I don't stay up late reading, use proper light, yadda yadda yadda - common sense stuff.

Good Luck.
