Hey everyone I'm typ 1 juvenile diabetic I was diagnosed in march '04 in Cali did one year giving shots 6 months on the pen and then had a pump moved in '09-'11 to Korea and then in '11 to Germany where I am currently at! The hardest and still biggest problem is tht the different cultures have different food and then trying to figure out the carbs is difficult! Another big issue is I feel like something is wrong with me even though the only thing wrong is that I'm a diabetic people judge and I've gotten so bad that I don't test in public or give my self insulin I'm ashamed to tell anyone that I'm a diabetic because I don't want to be judged! Then when people know your a diabetic they judge constantly what you eat! Ask you are you allowed to eat this or that and why are you doing that? Ughh HELP! Lol

I find that I feel good when I'm doing everything I can to kick diabetes' butt. It's hard and challenging but I am always wanting to know what my BG is so it won't get in the way of any of my hobbies/ interests/ other pursuits.

Yeah but I still feel ashamed and judged when I pull out my tester to see what my BG is! I'm getting better but it took me to lose my pump to realize that! But I'm still far from being a poster diabetic !

I'm like Acidrock it makes me feel good about myself when I'm doing my best. Mine and your health is too important to let the opinions of others to stop us. But me I'm an old man that has long since stopped caring what others think.
