Since I started using an omnipod in May my blood sugars have run a bit higher than I would like them to be but I figure that is to be expected when learning a completely different way to take insulin. In the pre-pump days my blood sugar would race like a Ferrari. It never went above 250 but often went below 50 and usually at a double down arrow pace. Since starting the pump I am amazed at how slowly my blood sugar moves now. It now is more like a Volvo - "boxy but safe". I will get tighter with my control as I learn more but for now I'm ok with "boxy but safe".
