Is there anyone out there who has a menu/plan that keeps diabetes low?

Well, that is kinda a general question. I think for many of us who have T2 and are insulin resistant, it really helps to follow a low carb diet. The books "Diet 101,"Diabetes Miracle" and even the "New Atkins for You" all are good diets. If you really want to try to normalize your blood sugars, you might read "Diabetes Solution."

ps. Sadly, the diets that most doctors and dieticians provide us are really lousy.

I would second what Brian said. Moderating our carb intake a little or a lot is helpful and for the most part, essential. But there are a wide variety of ways to do that.

Best way I've found is eating low carb. Ask ten people & you'll get ten different answers to what constitutes low carb:) I've been following Dr. Bernstein's guidelines, who Brian mentions, for 4.5 years
