I decided to give the MM sil sets a try. went ot my educator after I got my two trail setsand got an inserter (yeah I am achicken to try a mnaul insertion)

So after I get over the long introducer needle..in insert--no pain (good thing) prime-bolus for dinner (a bit off scheudle today cause it is quarter end at work and quarter ends are crazy)..I think everything is going fine till I am at the stove and the hubby comes over for a squeeze while asking how it feels (he knew I was trying a new type of set) I say fine and he says oh yeah--your bleeding and ends up with a hand full of blood--so I have a gusher--no pain....I go sit and apply pressure -while he finishes up dinner...bleeding stops

so after dinner time to check BG and calibrate new sensor--usually not a problem since starting symlin--no spikes

well--tonight-OMG--such a spike--highest I have been in awhile..guess with my bleed the prime and dinner bolus didn't get in...so now chasing a high while I try and work an 16 hour day...bah.. I hate high chasing..with my luck it will end with a low chase later tonight...gladI get to sleep in tomorrow

btw--you can shoot pennies with the inserter... :-) gotta have some fun/sense of humor--right??

Well, I didnt take it out...seems to be working. Has a smaller profile than the quickset and seemed not to hurt going in (not the the quickset hurts much very often) and seems to be more comfortable..did fine overnight. I have one more trail set..and might be able to talk my pump trainer out of a few more. I have quite a few quick sets to use up, but would be able to change before my next order.

Didn't even have to chase a low last night-so I guess I corrected pretty well

The pennny went about 5 feet

If we don't have a sense of humour we'd be as well to lie down and , well just give up I suppose. Chasing highs, chasing lows, I go in the opposite direction if I feel either.
