I have 3 monitors. Two one touch and one freestyle. I have noticed that when I test on all three at the same time the readings are off by 15-20 points. I have pondered this and wondered, what the hell is this about? Is this a game? which one is correct?
I am coming to the conclusion that the diabetes industry, which rakes in billions, is up to no good. Maybe I'm paranoid. But, one thing I have noticed, which perplexes me, is that there are various opinions as to which BLS numbers are the healthy ones to meet. I've heard 2 hours after a meal under 180, 140, 130. Which is it? I've heard morning BLS should be under 126, 120, 115. Which is it? And, I've asked various doctors, as well as read on the subject, as to how high and what length of time does the blood sugar damage the body. I've read and been told "depends on person", "don't know", and the best one yet "just depends". depends on what? I read that a fasting glucose of 140 was considered pre-diabetes back in 1996. now it has dropped to 126. It makes me wonder if someone is playing with the numbers. Any thoughts on this? Anyone else ever ponder this?
