Sometimes you realise what youve done for a long time is not always the right thing to do

I realised over the last two months that I have been making some fairly bad mistakes around the way that I count carbs.

I almost didn't read this. The broken link it is a real struggle, but I found the site, but am now confused. It seems your mistake is that you established dosing for all your "standard meals," but actually weren't doing carb counting. I agree that is a big mistake, but is that your only mistake?

ps. A plea to blog posters, please post actual content, not just a link. If other readers are like me, I get frustrated and won't read those blogs anymore
