TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

Here I am promising to let you all know that my son is back from Iraq. I have 3 weeks of vacations from work and I'm trying to see what weeks will be good to take so that I can travel to Washington to see my son. Back from Iraq to Washington were he is stationed.
It's been months since I saw him, but we kept in touch via email. Now I don't have to worry so much, kinda relax a little bit. I do belong to a website called NavyMoms, I'll be letting them know that he is safe and home in Washington.
I'm so grateful that nothing happened to me seriously with diabetes, sure hate to call my son that me being in the hospital would not only worry about him but him worrying about me.
Thanks, wanted to share this. Patti

Hey, guys! That means alot to me and yes I'm proud of him for being in those waters making us safe. Now my bs can go down, been high worrying about him these past few weeks. This coming month I can go see him in Washington and he says him and his wife are going to cook and spoil me. I tell him than I'll clean house. LOL. Thanks guys, love you all. Patti

hi patti,
honey, there ain't nothing better for a mom then when she hears her son/daughter is back on u.s. soil and safe and sound. wait a minute, yes there is, it's the moment that we can go over them with a fine tooth comb as see for ourselves that they are truly ok. our kids are not only protecting us, but they are protecting others who don't have a voice. we have a lot to be proud about. give him a hugh hug from me as well. i remember when my son came home and i was able to hug him (not that he was happy about it, he hates mush) but i told him that hug was from a ton of moms and dads as well as from me. have a wonderful time with your son.
