I like that article and that it recommends realistic levels at which to start (e.g. 5x pushups...) for beginners, instead of a gonzo program that you would have to work out to get in shape to start.

Thanks. Yes that is the point. Also unless you are on insulin most workout routines just don't work for diabetics. Our recovery ability is just not there and they do more harm than good. The workouts have to be scaled back to get the most benefit from them.

I work out almost every day, and competed the past two years in the Roman Classic Bodybuilding competition, winning three first place trophies, 2 in the Masters and one lightweight.

Strength training is great for BG control, but you have to be careful. I am on a pump, so I can adjust my basel while working out.
