My friends convinced me to write a book on diabetes. It was fun, but a lot of work!

My book is now on Amazon, and I plan a Kindle version also

Successful Diabetes Management
Authored by Lloyd Mann

This book shows how I have succeeded in gaining excellent control of my insulin dependent type 2 diabetes. I brought my A1c down from 8.7 to 4.9 in two years. I have had 17 A1c test results in a row of 5.4 % or lower. There are many things you can do to improve your glucose control. I provide an easy to follow explanation of what diabetes is, what happens, and what you need to do to remain in control. Topics covered include oral medications, insulin injections, insulin pump, exercise, and carbohydrate counting.

Congratulations Lloyd!!! I think what has always impressed me about Lloyds story is that there is a perception that the path of type 2 diabetes is that you struggle with diet, exercise and oral medications for years until you finally "fail." And then you go on insulin which just means weight gain and bad hypos. Instead, Lloyd moved to insulin and a pump, achieved "stellar" control (far better than he ever had on oral meds). And the best thing, after going on the pump, he doesn't suffer bad hypos and he has lost "serious" weight .

I wish more people would tell their story, moving to insulin can be a huge win when you have diabetes.

Yes, I like that story and agree so totally. Moving to insulin early is definitely the way to go.
