Support Group for Young Women with Diabetes in NYC Area!

This group just started a couple months ago but new members are more than welcome. We meet at Beth Israel Medical Center on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday evening of every month. Feel free to contact with me for more details. Flyer posted below!

SUPPORT GROUP FOR
Young Women with Diabetes
Ages 18-35

Topics may include:

• Managing exercise, eating, and body image
• Managing relationships
• Coping effectively with stress and emotions
• Discussing feelings of fear, shame, or frustration
• … and others that you can bring!

The next few meetings are not on a regular schedule because of the holidays in November and December:
The next two meetings will be Tuesdays
January 13th and January 27th from
6:00PM – 7:30PM

The group will meet semi-monthly; the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.

Located at the Friedman Diabetes Institute at
Beth Israel Medical Center
317 E. 17th Street, between 1st and 2nd Avenues, 8th Floor

This group is open to members of the public who are young women living with diabetes. There is no cost for participation. The group will be self-led however there will be a staff member from Friedman Diabetes Institute available during the meetings. We are creating a place to talk with others about living with diabetes, particularly as young adult women. If you think this group is for you, it probably is. Please get in touch and let us know that you are interested and if you can make it to the first meeting.

Hi Katie,
I recommend you add the details about the group to these two places, to make sure they are picked up by as many people who can benefit from it as possible:
* Our Events Page: you can add an event for every meeting.
* The Mid-Atlantic group, where New Yorkers also participate.
