At dawn today began one of my most important responsibilities:

As a Swedish Eldest Daughter, I light a candle each dawn from now until Solstice to Bring Back The Light. traditions are special i feel slightly bad i forgot the advent wreath this year but still trying to keep lightheaded, joyful and thankful this holiday season. keep lighting the way, quite symbolic of what we all should put forth and hope for. blessings, amy

Onward all, but the dead babies in Connecticut today. I shall light that candle 3 times/day now---perhaps for the rest of my life.

It is too much. As my President said---our hearts are broken. Having barely survived the death of a child myself, I hardly know what to wish for these parents.

Frankly, on a pragmatic level---I hope they live past today and tomorrow and next week.....
