i have some trouble with swelling in my feet and ankles, but more in the morning, particularly if i wasn't too active the day before. But generally once i get moving the swelling goes down. it also reduces pretty quickly if I elevate my legs, even just 15 minutes helps me. My endo said that this is my body still learning how to handle the diabetes, I've only been diagnosed for just under two months, and she told me that it would take probably 6 months before it stopped happening so much.

I drink a lot of water during the day, but lately am getting swelling of the feet and ankles and up the lower part of my legs. I also drink a lot of coffee. This started about a month ago. Any ideas why? Can't believe I am retaining water, not with what I drink. It usually happens towards the end of the day.
