TuDiabetes - A Community for People Touched by Diabetes

Ok we had a great few days away from it all now it's time to get back to it. Don't look for me to post new pics though, All the pics were taken with a flash camera. Dang it! It was just really pretty to me up there we just got there too late to see the fall colors. I LOVE the fall! Back when my mom was here we always had the same argument, she loved the spring when everything was reborn and I loved the fall when (according to her) I liked to see everything die. Not too bad argument just kinda family fun. We rode over 300 miles without a bathroom break tonight just to get back here! Not even for my hubby who has to have gas if the hand goes below 3/4's tank! LOOOOOONG trip! HA!!!

Thank you Marie for your nice words! I still feel like this is a family and really missed all of you! I thank God for being able to come back! The BEARS!!! Well do you remember what I said about them???? When we were on the TN side of the mountins there were a BUNCH of ppl at this one pull off walking in the woods as we were going by there my hubby said and I quote, "They must have seen a bear up in the forrest." To which I replyed " Let's just go on!!! There fools to walk up the path to see one closer. Another sign said "Don't feed the wildlife" To which I replied "The only time I would feed them is if my Subway sandwich would hold them off while I ran VERY fast the OTHER way!!!!!!!!!! HA!!!

Kristin your sooooo right I look at it as a time for change myself. Now my mom was the one who looked at it the other way! I still after years think she was WRONG about it! I love the snow after fall !!! So pretty! Spring and summer well that's another story. It's called allergies!!!

Doris, I feel like getting down on my knees and thanking the baby Jesus for bringing you back to us!! When I see the "HA!!" a jolt of happiness wells up in me. We had a great display of fall color here, because for the first time in three years, the gypsy moths didn't eat all the leaves before they could change. We've been taking more walks in the woods, ever mindful of the bears, though. I can't wait until they hibernate and we can put the birdfeeders back.

Welcome back AGAIN! :)

Glad that you had a good trip! Fall is my favorite too :) I guess I don't think of things dying, but rather things changing :)
