I'm done my defence!!!! And I "passed"! All the preparation and anxiety and stress are gone and replaced with happiness and relief and satisfaction!!!!

My presentation went really well. In addition to my committee, my dad came and then Skyped in my mom (my first even virtual audience!) and four members of the public showed up! I didn't expect anyone and I'm so glad they didn't make me nervous.

I have some minor revisions to make and need to write an acknowledgements section and proofread and check formatting, but that will all be done by mid-week next week and then I'll be DONE!

I am so happy!!! I will definitely be taking some time off to relax after this, and hopefully get some ongoing health things sorted out and/or under better control.

But I know I can't stay without a personal goal for long, so ... Next long-term goal: do something amazing athletically. :)

My dad thinks I should move on directly to a Ph.D., but I need a break! LOL. I have a TON of follow-up studies I can do from my thesis research, plus two studies I've discussed with people for "when I'm done my thesis" that I want to follow up on ... so I think I'll do a bit of that, take a breather for a few years, work on another goal like something athletic, and then do a Ph.D. after I've run a marathon!! :)

Actually, reading back on my comment it doesn't look like much of a break! LOL.
