I have some severe Low blood sugars at times, usually in the middle of the night or early in the morning. Where I thrash, struggle and have on occasion had some pretty wild experiences - as in the dog's trying to eat my head, the wife's an alien forcing poison apple juice down my throat, and family members are old-school Communists trying to convert me from my American ways by force. Here's my recount of some of those situations, but more specifically a look at how my own Type 1 mom's experiences differ. I'd like to hear your thoughts on this, so please drop a comment over at my latest post on The Diabetic's Corner Booth.

Whatever our experiences might be like, hopefully they are few and far between.

You write here so I'll comment here ;-)
Do you use lantus ? I guess so, and all done in the evening isn't it ?
That's wrong, that lows have not to happen.

Garidan: I've used Lantus briefly in the past, but most of the time I use an insulin pump with Humalog.
