Yep that's his birthday!! Yours too??? Great!!! Atleast something was done right on one day! HA!! A baled Eagel??? You know I've only seen maybe 2 in my entire 46 years?? But boy are they awesome!!! Nothing like an injured hand. Ya' know we really don't know how much we depend on them til we don't have them to use! Within like 1 year I had carpal tunnel surgery done on both of mine then got a stupid trigger thumb surgery done on my hand. Ya' really don't think about how much you use your left hand (being right handed myself) til you don't have it and hurt yep it can! HA!!
Hi Marie
That's very interesting, thanks. I recently started on HRT patches, as I don't think I have any oestrogen production left! The patches have stopped the night sweats and daytime hot flushes, which were awful, particularly if my blood sugar was low. My skin is dry too.
I use my abdomen only for pumping, and my leg for CGM. That leaves one leg free as a spare! Do you find the absorption slower from your leg compared with your abdomen? I did while on MDI.
Take care
Anna
Thanks for that, I have managed to get my photo in the right place at last! It's good to know that there are lots of other people out there with diabetes to share things with.
How long have you been on your insulin pump? Has it helped with your control? I started on mine almost 17 months ago, and use CGMS with it most of the time. It is very expensive as I have to pay for the CGMS myself, there is no insurance here in the UK and the National Health Service doesn't pay for it. I have managed to improve my diabetic control a lot in this time, and feel so much better for it. More alert and awake, if that makes any sense!
I am a busy person, what with working, and a family to care for so there will probably be days or even weeks when I don't have time to visit the forum.

I lost the link to it, but it's at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum, and I believe the exhibit will be open from November 21st to some time in January. That is very cool about the quilting, my mom has done a bit of it here and there over the years and hasn't until recently been able to make time to do it. Quilts are my best friend on high days (:
Hi Marie
