Enjoy kiddo!....Looking forward to the video. I'd be screaming my fool head off too! (who says you're not 41....I feel 15 on the inside...well, sometimes anyway!!!)

Sorry I took so long to answer. I have been under a lotg of pressure and attack (emotional) by the Aides here. Depression has set in and I really don't want to do anything.
I will consider myself "hugged." I'm running low on them again. Also am running low on puppy kisses!
I don't think Appleton is all that close to Milwaukee. I think it is at least 2 hours drive on the expressway. Really much too far for me to go there. So, I can honestly say that I don't know your friend. But I do know how you feel. I was writing to a fella in Mexico for over 20 years and then, all of a sudden, he disappears and my mail goes unanswered. We visited each other and all that.
i want to let you know that I am trying to get out of this rathole by the end of the month. These Aides have mistreated me for the last time!!!
Gotta go. Getting tired and have many more to answer.

Hi Anna! Thanks for the friend add. I can't wait to see the video you posted, but (annoying) work server doesn't let me access youtube. I'll have to wait until I get home later. In the meantime, I'm going to check out your blog!

Dear Anna;

I can offer you to come and stay in my Villa during your stay. Would love to go to the event as well. Who is organizing it? Emirates Airlines has good rates from the States and is a great Airline as well.

Anna,

Est-ce que tu parles francais? J'ai commence l'etude de francais quand j'etais 8 ans, dans une ecole publique ici a New Jersey.

Thanks for your message. Yes, I am going to participate in the Big Blue Test!

It's only when I join the forum that I learnt about the pump. Perhaps because I am T2 my endo didn't think that I'll ever need it. I'm on oral med and insulin. My bg is getting progressively worse over the years. My pancreas must be dying. If I can go on the pump, I'll jump at it. It sounds so easy. It is going to be expensive though. Medical here is very expensive here and diabetic care is not covered by insurance. Subsidized medical care is sub-standard. My friends on subsidized care don't even get their a1c checked regularly. Just fasting sugar check during their regular visits and they are sent home with pills and insulin - whatever the doctor think they need. My endo ,on the other hand, will demand to see my log on my daily bg and make suggestions on how to bring it down and check my a1c 3 months every time I change my regime.
Is that you on a motorbike with a red jacket? Wow, so cool. You really live life to the fullest. I've always wanted a Vespa. Love it when I was a teenager but my parents forbid it.

Hi Anna, thanks for friend's add. I also think that having diabetes makes us resilient. It takes bravery to poke needles into yourself countless times. Every time I brandish my needle, my kids and husband walk out of the room. It makes me laugh.

Thanks for the warning! If you squeeze too hard, I'll yelp ..... LOUD!!! I sure do wish some of you lived closer. Maybe I could go home if someone would take care of me. Heh, heh......55 years old and needing to be taken care of!!! It's been really tough for me realizing that I won't be home in time for my birthday to say nothing about Christmas! (boo hoo!) I had a grand old crying jag of a pity party for myself this afternoon while we were talking in Occupational Therapy. Boy what a bummer I am .... brought the whole room down on that one. Then my next-door neighbor [in this nuthouse] started teasing me to get me laughing and the pity party ended just as fast as it started.

I am getting what is called derma grafts. That is, they take a sheet of frozen cells from the leftover skin of a baby boy's circumcision and reconstitute them and apply the sheet to my feet. Cover it up where the nurses can't screw it up. It is repeated once per week for eight weeks. There has been some signs of new cell growth around the edges.

This place sucks big time!! Yucky (mild expletive!), lazy CNA's, stupid nurses (only some) and even weirder residents. I can spend an hour just sitting and waiting for someone to answer my call button. Sometimes I'm on the commode for that time. Talk about getting numb buns!!!!! Arrrrrrgh!

Well, better move on to bigger and better things!! Many more messages to answer and/or delete! Talk to you soon ..... I hope!
