Hey Kristin, haven't spoken to you in soooo long! How are you doing? Hope all is well, with life and life with diabetes...Kacey is doing so well, hate to say that out loud..have had some struggles with lows, seems to have more lows at nite, 1 or 2 am, but all and all she is doing well, the pump is great, we have been on it for a year, and had an anniversary of 1 year in feb., for diag., for kc, so it's been a year and a half, she is amazing, she does everything by herself and refers to us for lows in the night because we insist., she knows what to do, but we want to know. Her hair has started to grow back in full force, but so curly! Unbelievable, we are using a hair straightener like it's my job. :) She is 12.. Her A1C has been up and down, we had a prob with the pump so that made it go up, but for the most part she is well, happy....playing sports..all star softball currently, she is the pitcher! Our family has come full circle with diabetes, we have explored every part of it we can to benefit KC and help her feel like any other 12 year old out there! This site included, and will continue forever! Thanks Kristin...

The pump was inserted today and it is Awesome! We went with medtronic, because they covered a bit more, and they will cover the CGM 100% in 6 months! I can't believe that this isn't a dream... it's too good! Thanks so much for helping out!

yes, that's "twitter tracker" - I have it. you can keep track of when people are talking about a topic by entering a search word.

well that's good news. I'm getting ready to try Gerri's low-carb seed and nut snack. others have mentioned it here, so she put the recipe on my page.

I just finished my most fun activity of the summer, going to The Fancy Food Show and having a long weekend in NYC. I love going there to the museums and nice restaurants. Since I live in a very rural area, it's nice to get a different perspective.

oh, and I'm also a very active volunteer in the NJ State Fair, which is coming up. It's just minutes away from me.

hey, Kristin, just wondering if you have any idea why that "status" application doesn't work. yours looks just like mine. I thought it would be a good way to integrate Twitter into my TuD page.

how are you doing with your numbers?

;) yes one of those situations home alone where i took my shot and meant to eat but snoozed on the couch. woke up at forty. treated. waited. checked. still at forty. treated again and checked and treated and checked numerous times. for about half an hour my brain turned to mush and my tongue went numb...made it out alive, 150 my final reading. did.not.overtreat.

hopes all is well with you miss kristen :)

Hi Kristin...I am managing quite well...thanks for asking. Do you speak Hungarian? Is it difficult managing your D in Hungary? I've never been to Hungary ...do you like it? Since we don't really know each other...I hope you don't mind me asking how your pregnancy plans are coming along. Any solid plans yet?
Do you have any plans to be back in the Detroit area?

Hi Kristin! Sarah and I are friends, but we haven't met face to face. I live in South Lyon, closer to A2. How exciting to live in another country! How long have you been there and do you plan on continuing to live in Hungary?

i'm doing really good. i have lost about 26 pounds so far. the hardest part is having to eat 4 meals a day. (a protein and a veggie for the two middle ones and protein and fruit for breakfast and dinner.) then in between all of that i have to drink a protein drink. plus drink lots of fluids. when i am busy, which is most of the time, it can be difficult. but it's worth it.

HI! Thanks for the welcome! Yes, I actually met with my diabetes educator today and we adjusted the basal settings a bit. I seem to be doing OK so far.
I just read your bio on here and it says you are getting your Phd in political science... my husband has his phd in political science too! :-)
I wish you good luck!! *grin*

Hi Kristin! How is my online Tudiabetes daughter doing? Hope all is well. I'll be writing a book about my past. I'll explain later. But in the end, it's about survival and that anyone can overcome anything. Lots of love from me to you. Patti

Hi there,
Thanx for welcoming me =]
I hope we can chat some more as I have struggled for years with my blood sugars and am now on a pump which slowly (deliberately) but surely they're stablising and coming down, I am also trying for that elusive perfect number so I can start trying for a family,
lou x
