My last year is pretty bad too...Early January I fell off our stairs and my lumbar 4 collapsed on my lumbar 5. Hospital for a more than a month. I wasnt able to walk for about 4-5 months. My depression was so bad. Therapy and rehab was slow and painful...I thank God Im well now.
Im looking forward for today since its Sunday..my favorite day of the week. LOL. I get to see my Mom...and have lunch with her too. Gives me a break from my own cooking, hee hee.
Im glad I met you Doris. It seems that many here are literally jumping for joy now youre back. =)

well, Doris Ann, she died peacefully in her sleep. it had been a rough road there towards the end. I really lost it when I heard. really. my husband asked me why it affected me so hard, "you've never even met this person, after all" - he just didn't understand. Then I started thinking that Sandy would want us to continue her good works of reaching out. Even now, I am so glad she never deleted anything she wrote, sometimes I go back and look at her comments so I can feel her lovely way again.

read about the Big Blue Test - here - gosh, we did one this summer, and it was such a hoot! everybody tested their blood at the same time. this year, everybody is going to do it at 2PM their own local time. we want to make a big splash for diabetes awareness. It's exactly one week away, so tell me if you have any questions.

I know, a lot has changed, but the important things have stayed the same. We lost a few people, and having you come back to us has given a few people hope that their friends may come back too. of course, losing Saundra Barragan was devastating to me and Debb and others. The day before she died, she was helping others here on TuDiabetes.

you can't even imagine what a giant hero Manny is until you meet him in person! I love the guy so much. nothing has helped me more than TuD.

I did read your blog - I remember how you feel about bears! so many things have been happening while you were gone - read this one about my meeting Manny and his family in San Francisco - it was so special for me! The day you came back, I made a special meal with southern dishes like spoonbread in your honor. hey, do you know about the Big Blue Test on November 14, World Diabetes Day?

Hi Doris! My factory was in Elkton, near routes 81 and 33 and Harrisonburg Va. and James Madison University. I finished my project there last year - now I am working in Durham, North Carolina... I am getting killed with all this factory construction and now I have to fly on airplanes every week... I guess somebody's gotta do it HA!

=) the baby is due the first week of December. we are very excited. my house is still all ripped up - I am re-doing 2 bathrooms, the babys room, and our bedroom, but I am almost done.
