HI Joanne- thanks for the St. Patrick's Day wish. I'm not Irish, but I take good wishes from anyone. Hope you are feeling better than last week. This weather is delightful. The sound of lawn mowers is heard in my neighborhood and the flowers are blooming away. Hope you have a great week, the temps. will be in the 70's all week. Take care. Cat
HAPPY ST.PATRICK.S DAY,Joanne and thank you for your very nice card. Things are much better. His BP normal. PT has him doing exercises. Nurse was supposed to be here at 2 but we are still waiting. I am rehearsing with Tom. He does the 2nd reading tomorrow at the 9AM Mass at the Cathedral. Tonight going to drive to Ormond Beach to Stonewood for dinner. He needs to see a surgeon about the adrenal gland growth and on March 22 the blocked artery. Then I hope they leave him alone. How are things with you? Are you able to eat? My friend,Mary Ellen, has lost 80 pounds. Weather here gorgeous. Thanks so much your your prayers. You take good care. HUGS,Reed
Hi there, How are you doing? Are you recovered from feeling sick. I was worried about you the last time you wrote. Gosh being sick to your stomach is so stressful. It sure didn't sound like much fun. Hope you are better now. You will not believe this about my work, they are pushing like crazy. They got us all togeher and told us that our budget is "broken" for our whole county mental health system. Sheesh, it is the 3rd richest county in the whole US and they can't "afford" to take care of sick poor people! Hmmm, sounds like something is wrong with this picture.
Anyway after sitting through three hours of the upper level woes about the deficit we are in, we were all sent back to the trenches to solve the problem. Such drama. Anyway, I ended up staying at work until midnight last night. 15 hours, working on a special project. My partner got sick and I had to finish for a deadline.
I only got three hours sleep last night but feel pretty good today. It is so beautiful here, sunny and all the flowers are out and the trees are budding, so pretty. I hope that your tummy is all better. How is work going with you? Yesterday I sat in front of that computer so long that my feet blew up like balloons and they are still big today. Took my pills late and my insulin, so BG is high this morning. Maybe that has something to do with it. Take care, hope you have a good weekend.
Hi Joanne -thanks for the cute kitty pic. Hope your stomach is feeling better after the other day's illness. I had an aggrevating episode with my Ins. company . They sent me the wrong test strips for my meter. Then they sent me a new meter kit that I didn't want. It didn't have the same #'s as my own meter. I must have called them 6or7 times until I got the correct strips for my meter. Ins. cos. are just wonderful. Hope you have a great weekend. It is supposed to get warm again by Sunday. Cat
Hello Joanne,Florence Nightingale here recording weighing making sure. Russ gained a pound. If he gains 5 I am to call doctor oxygen 94 we bought an oximeter and his BP finally 132.78. I hope this finds you feeling better. Are you discovering things you cannot eat? Russ sees a surgeon about the growth and 3.22 about blocked artery, This has been a rough month. My BG 108. Are your readings continuing to be good? What a Winter...great temos. Take good care of youself. I care. HUGS,Reed
Hi Joanne, TGIF for me. I think I had one of the worse days ever yesterday. Working in social services is getting very rough now. Our county is running out of money and that means more and more work for everyone. Stress levels are so high and it is hard to keep up with these expectations. We purchased a new electronic health record and tech is still trying to get that in order.
Yesteday my team had an emergency meeting called at the last minute. We had to cancel everything and spend hours driving in the middle of the day there and back to hear more bad news about the budget. It was 88 here yesterday and between all the driving, the heat, and sitting at meetings and trying to catch up when I got back, well, nothing was working for me! My feet swelled up like balloons from sitting in the car and in the meeting for so long. It feels like I am working very hard, but not getting anything done. I will try to catch up today, but I think that everyone is overwhelmed with the circumstances. Can't wait until tommorrow. It is supposed to be sunny and 70 and should be a nice weekend.
I hope that you are feeling better. Getting stomach bugs or whatever it was is so miserable. I have heard so many people lately are getting the flu. One good friend that I have was sick and had a terrible time with BG. It is scary. I hope that your tummy is back to normal now and that you are feeling well again.
How is your family doing? I bet everyone is looking forward to the new baby! I love babies so much. There was the cutest one in the waiting room when I went to the doctor before work yesterday, so precious. Well, time to get ready to go. I am hoping for a productive day. Last night I was there til 800 and not home until 900. Still doesn't feel like I am getting anything done!
My son moved back home for now. I am so glad to have him around again. I never see him much because he is so busy. Have a nice day today. For me anyting will be better than yesterday, so I can't lose!
Dear Joanne. Thanks for your concern and advice. Teachers in MA did not work under Social Security so Russ does not have Medicare. He has Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, He pays $711.28 a month and the town of Wayland where he taught pays $711.28 a month. As he is well over 65 EVERYONE just assuumes he has Medicare,. The social worker spent over an hour finding a PT and a Home care Place. She found something called INTERIM SENIOR HEALTH CARE that will. Ever hear of them. Oh Boy did they give him more pills. I hope things are going well with you. Russ is glad to be home. HUGS,Reed
Good evening Joanne....thanks for the good cheers :) The nausea is mostly gone....but I feel weak...mostly in the legs. I would have liked to go for a walk today, it was lovely. A balmy 25C (about 78F)...but didn't feel strong enough. Hoping the weather last though! Be well....and thank you... linda
Hi Joanne, Ugh, I made it through another real winner of a week. It is amazing the things that I have to do to keep myself afloat in this job market today. I have about had it with technology I have learned so much new about it in the past month that my head is spinning, including what not to do! I am so happy that it is the weekend. I am staying home and enjoying the beautiful weather we are having. I hope things went well for you at work this week? I just barely survived. I hope to catch up next week. There is a big pile waiting for me on Monday, ha, I am trying not to think about it. What are you up to this weekend?
Hi Joanne - That's great you lost 2 sizes. It has only been 2 months I think ? You seem to be taking 1 day at a time with work. I hope is isn't too stressful. The new pic w/your son is very nice. Is he Samantha's Dad ? It was 72 yesterday, but back to the 50's today. Hope you have a nice weekend. Don't forget to change the clocks. Forward ! Cat
Good Morning,Joanne. How are you doing>? I hope well. I do not think you work today. Was it a tough week for you? Your BG readings are just great. Mine this morning 98. Damp and dreary here. Russ has MRI today growth on adrenal gland he does not mind the MRI it is the waiting for resylts that drives him crazy. On the 22nd he sees the cardio man about the blockage in his left leg and the 26th he becomes 96 March has been quite the month. Hope things are good with you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. HUGS,Reed
Hello Joanne. BUG MAN HERE what a talker. I never have any but better to be safe than sorry he comes 2X a year. Hi Joanne, How did work go for you today? I like your new picture with your son. When you are both smiling you look a lot alike, both cute! I finally finished round one of my special projects and they were approved so now all I have to do is make it happen now. I will work for about two more months to get everything going and then I am taking a vactation! I am so tired every night when I get home. I hope you are feeling okay and everything is going well. Good luck with the rest of the week. Here is how I feel most of the time, only instead of the water it is paper and computers! Ha, I cannot figure out if I am the horse or the dog!
HI Joanne- Nice pics from the Crayola factory. Jim and I took Jack ( our G-son) there when he was here with his mom. It is a fun place for little kids. Hope your feeling better. We have crocuses open on our lawn. Spring is here !!!! Cat
Hello,Joanne. Glad you enjoyed the weekend. Nice to have company but nice to see them go. It is hard on me as Tm and Russ love food but i have to think TOPS on Wed. New England seafood at Bette's A1A Cafe will be worth a pound. I hope you do ok at work and d not get overtired. Tom just left. We got our haircut and had lunch at the Village Inn. My BG was 106 not bad at all. Take good care of yourself and try to rest. HUGS,Reed
HI Joanne- Hope your week turned out well. With work and your stomach cooperating. The sky is starting to turn blue after rain this morning. Hope your family is well and enjoying soon to be Spring. Next week we turn the clocks ahead, more light for us. Have a nice weekend. Cat
Hi Joanne, did you make it to the weekend? Yuck, I had a rough week. I am so glad that it is Saturday. So how are things with you? Are you feeling okay? How did work go? Just checking in to say hi. I am in the relax mode today, it feels great to slow the clock down fora while. I hope that you have a nice day! My goal today is to be lazy.
Good Morning,Joanne. How are things? I hope you are feeling better. Do you work today? I could not sleeo last night nothing on my mind finally got up at 5. A nice quiet time to do the birthdays and Welcomes. They have not called Russ about going for the cat scan. I guess the two doctors are still fighting it out. Tom comes tonight. He got notice he is to do the readings at the 9AM Mass at the Cathedral March 18th..he is nervous. BG 106. Hope yours continue to be good. Enjoy your company. I know they will cheer you up. I am doing fine. Tke good care, I care. HUGS,Reed
Hello Joanne. Dr,Oz was tired so he stayed in bed. They cancelled Russ's Cat Scan. Insurance said NO. I imagine having 4 in a month raised a red flag. The urologist has to call the insurance company doctor to tell why it is urgent. Russ does not have MEDICARE. Teachers in MA do not work under social security. I hope this finds you feeling better. I know you are having company and that will lift your spirits. My BG 98 happy with that. I hope your day goes well and I know you will enjoy the weekend. Do not forget to change the date on your watches. Take good care. HUGS,Reed

Sam has been growing up so fast every time I see her pics and I feel old already haha! She is such a pretty angel. My, so much blessings! I was on break on here for the month of Feb...Im back now :)
