Easy as pie...or pi??? I could understand the analogy if we were referring to the latter (pi)....however the idiom in referrence to a pie eludes me....as do many English idioms. Perhaps it pertains to the ease at which one would devour a pie....but then again, it depends on the type of "pie". Would downing a pumpkin pie be as "easy" as that of, say, a lemon meringue pie? Or does it have to do with the ease in baking said pie? What about the expression "now then"? Aren't idioms fun....try then on when English is a second language!!!
