I used to keep the glucose tabs on me, but haven't in recent years. Probably should do again, thanks for that, good tip.
You can see a clip from latest album on my profile page -- is pretty raucous garage punk rock ;-) - but you might enjoy the clip anyways. I play guitar.
Glad to hear you can keep up twio bands, i have enough on my hands with one .. hahaha

Thanks David, yeah i hate having a big dinner before playing a gig - but it's normally after dinner time that I am playing ;) Had a hypo the other week after a gig and had to down a stack of OJ. I had eaten too little for dinner ...

Hi Lexy,
I can be reached at davewenger@comcast.net this is my home email.
We can talk that way once you write to me. I've tried the Luo Han and it's not sweet enough that's why I buy the other one.
If I were to use another sweetener, I'd have to use three packs where I only use one of the other.
For wraps I'm eating low carb wraps and stuff like tuna fish with a very little mayo. Turkey and and swiss cheese.
My down fall is cheese, I love cheese and I check my BG every other day. I wish my fasting was 90....My fasting lately was 143
Let me know if this is the way you want to chat..
Have a great day!
David

Hi David,
Haha, I kept waiting for a reply on my page.. silly me.
I hate coffee, it's bitter and nasty! Diet sodas are gross, especially diet coke. I still have about 12 oz a week of real coke and I'm fine with that.. or I tell myself I am. Even before this diabetes thing I wanted to quit drinking coke, or rather the high fructose corn syrup they put in it here in the US. This just gave me a good excuse.
Checking out the Stevia Extrct Plus Luo Han.. why not just the Luo Han? I haven't tried it yet, but it seems to be the more logical choice as Stevia has a bit of an aftertaste.. I will look for it though.. sounds like it might be good... and I'll wait for the Luo Han before drinking tea, I can't drink it without some sweet and all the sweeteners I have tried are bad in one way or another..
What kind of wraps? I like wraps, but I thought they'd be full of carbs too.. I have thought about seaweed wraps and lettuce wraps, but if there is an alternative..
I have been on this low carb diet, found some things I enjoy, miss a lot of things, but I'm doing alright with it for now, working out a bit every day and not checking my blood sugar as often.. today my fasting bg was 90.. I'm happy with that.
I meant send me a private message on TuD, not sure what they call them here and sure I'd like your email if that is what you'd prefer.. I don't like admins reading my mail.
Sorry abut the late reply, hope you are doing well,
Lexy

Hi Lexy,
This is what I do. I drink water, coffee with 2% milk with a sweeter called " Pure Stevia Extrct Plus Luo Han"
It's costly, it cost me $25.00 for 100 one serving packages. Do you like herbal teas? Try making hot tea and then cool in down and add ice to it.
You can drink Diet coke and I actually like it over regular coke, If I eat too much lets say at lunch time, by 3 pm I'm falling asleep in my office! I've learn to use wraps instead of bread to make a sandwich. I try to stay away from chips because they cause more damage. Last week I decided that I wanted Pizza for lunch and I bought a small bacon pizza and just drank water. Now I fully know I wasn't suppose to eat this but because it's been so long I felt ir was okay.......well guess what?? It wasn't okay. I felt like truck ran me over for the next three days.
What did you mean by PM you? I'm not sure I understand which site your on. Your welcome to have my email at home if you like?
Let me know and enjoy each day and each day that you do eat and drink right, you'll feel so good! Remember those feelings...It's what stops me from eating a small pizza again! LOL
Have a nice day!
David

All my doctor said was I am pre-diabetic, he didn't name a type, but from what I have learned you are probably right. It doesn't really matter though, mine is caused because I was born without a thyroid and my pills weren't being absorbed by my body and it caused breakdown in my pancreas along with other parts of my body. We don't know how much damage was caused, but my doctor seems hopeful I can reverse it with diet and exercise.
He did tell me only to test every few days, but I was trying to figure out what I could eat.. I think I have a good idea now. I still don't know what I can drink other than water though.. ugh! I was used to drinking Coca Cola all day and yes, I know it's bad, but it tastes so darn good!
I am working out again, I stopped because when my thyroid got real low my workouts ripped almost all the muscles in my body and I had to give then time to heal.. then I got so lazy... but I'm building them back up again or at least I am trying to.
I do love music, about all types, I'm glad we share some of the same taste. I'd love to hear you play! Are you part of a band?
Well, I hope you gave Roadie a bone or something good, he looks like such a good boy. :)
Take care and PM me if you wish,
Lexy
