Hi Keith, thanks for the friend request. That's amazing with diet and exercise, I'm just trying to follow what I'm suppose to do. But with 4 children and 4 grandchildren, it gives me the fuel I need to become better.

hey anna. my sister has the type of diabetes you have and she's on an insulin pump. I guess since my sister has that type I dont really know how I managed to get type2. they said im considered underweight for my height so I really dont know. im on a glucerna diabetic diet and I exercise mildly 4times a week and it seems to do the job.

Hi Keith - welcome to Tudiabetes. That is amazing that you can control your diabetes just with diet and exercise. I'm a Type 1 - since age of 7 - so unfortunately my pancreas went on strike - so I'm hooked up to insulin for life - but I'm alive and kicking!!

So, if you want to get a lay of the land here - just check out the New Member Guide. This site is pretty user friendly - and you'll get the hang of it no time. You might also want to check out the Alabama Group - and introduce yourself.

Have fun!
