Hi All, many thanks for the warm welcome!
I'll keep this introduction brief as I'm at work at the mo (shhh, don't tell anyone I'm on the net). I'l have a good look around the site a little later.
I'm a relative newbie to forums, so forgive me if I'm a little unsteady to strat with!
I'm a type 1 diabetic in the UK - I have been diabetic for 24 years now (damn, has it reallt been that long)? Currently on Novorapid and Lantus injections - 4 a day.
As I said before, I've never really used forums, especially regarding my diabetes, so I'm looking forward to all the shared experiences that everyone has.
Personally, I like snowboarding, mountain biking, Tae Jwon Do and Kayaking, so I'm interested to find out how other 'active' members control their BG whilst doing physical activities.
Gotta go - the boss is coming! Catch you guys soon. Ian

Welcome to the family! On this forum you will learn so much. Most of all you will learn that you are not alone. Everyone here is supportive and will provide answers to your questions. Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment. Most of all there is family to talk to and even to vent to, if needed. Welcome home.
