Love Conquers All

Good morning Reed and company! How's it all going this morning...other than the weather that is? Looks like you're in for a nasty storm! Take cover. Here, the weather is hot, humid and stifling. The weather forecast predicts a high of 40C today....I think that's around 102F.
Know that you and Russ are always on my mind and forever kept in prayer.
Be careful....not only due to the storm, but as well....take care to not overdo.
Hugs on this Monday morning.....
linda

Good Morning Reed, I would like to offer my sincere thanks to you and Russ for the service that you have provided to our country. I am thinking of you both on this special day of honor. Thanks for all that you have done and all that you continue to do. Your friend. Ellen.

Yep it looks like he's done with the pt now on to another! Sorry about Russ I agree with Kathy there it is hard to watch someone u love fade right b/f ur eyes. That was the way with all who have gone in my family. Did u get rain from the Hurricane? I heard about it this morning (well I heard about it from u 1st but it was on the news this morning and I got it's name Byral right? Or something like it)

Oh Reed - I know what it's like to watch a loved one fade right before your eyes. It happened with my mother. Would Russ consider using a wheelchair?
I suppose not.
We got over 4 inches of rain in the last five days. Crazy. It was 90 today with 70% humidity so I just stayed in and cleaned.
Tomorrow I'm going out to breakfast with a friend. Then to the big cemetery here in town where they always have a moving presentation. I always cry when they play taps.
Last night I tossed and turned and couldn't figure out what was wrong. This morning I noticed that 2 of the 3 sleeping pills I'm supposed to take were still in my compartmentalized pill box.
Reed, I am sending healing wishes to Russ. May this week go better.

reed, hoping the storm just gives you that much needed rain. our rain finally stopped and we got all the tomatoes, peppers, herbs, and what-not planted on the deck. I'm pooped. bg 87, guess I'll eat some lunch. all the kids are out on the lake, paddling their canoes and sailing their little sailboats, quite picturesque. if only people would finish up all the electric blowers...hugs, dear Reed, you know how I care.

Good Sunday to you Reed, I am glad that things are going better with Russ. I hope that you both had a good night last night. I read about that bed rail that he got and what a help that is for you both. I am saying a prayer for your family today. I hope that you have a blessed day. Don't feel bad if you can't write. Just having you here is fantastic, don't know what I would do without you. Your page is my favorite place on Tu.
I am doing okay, but BG's way out of whack on a new insulin regimen that my doctor wanted to try for goodness knows what reason. I guess since I am home he has a captive audience and is trying to tweak, but sent me on a rollercoaster, had a 47 last night, and 373, high every morning. See the NP Tuesday and hope she chucks the new plan. I think I was doing so much better with the old way. She has ordered a continuous glucose monitor for me to wear for a few days.
Yesterday you would be so proud of me. I walked for about 55 minutes last night which is the furthest I have walked yet. It has been roasting hot here, and last night a cool breeze, it was the coolest I had been all day so I just kept up walking until I couldn't make it any further. There was a misty look to the sky, and just the hint of a sliver of a crescent moon, so pretty and mysterious looking. All the bullfrogs were croaking away, and it was a lovely experience. Hope I can do another one today. It is sunny and supposed to be another hot one. The pools are open, we have two here. Miss you, take care.

I hope Russ is ok Mr Gator. I prayed for him at Mass and Eucharistic adoration this morning. I got my upside down tomato planter all together. I hope it grows some vegetables. Will go to mass again in the morning.

How was Russ' night?

Sory but just now getting around to answer u. Yesterday?? Well I've had better days that's 4 sure. I hope everything got taken care of at the Drs office for Russ. Please listen to Marie if u need to take a day or 2 (or more) off we will all understand. Sometimes life gets in the way right??? K has no more pt either. AS for the bloakage issues he's having we should find out something next month. Life huh??? I read somewhere that it must have been a 35 year old that said the olden days were gold but they just hadn't lived them yet (or something like that) and although I'm only 49 I tend to agree with that. This last 2 months have showed me that! LOL!

Hi Reed Just saw some of your posts ans wanted to say it's ok if you don't send me a note every day. I know you have a lot to deal with and need to take a break now and then. Happy to hear from you once a week if it helps. No drops in my steroids yet. I go for my bloods done next week after I come home with Mum and then will drop down to 11 (can't wait). Had a couple of major lows this week but ok on the whole. Take good care and speak soon. Tricia x
