So sorry to hear of your knees dear Reed :(
Freezing rain at YOUR end....warm and sunny here!! Should be the other way around! Around 26C here....that's somewhere near 80F. Now....if we had that for Winter...and perhaps a week's worth of snow or 2, for the skier in me, I'd be ok. Was ushering today....a teenage girl passed out. Good thing that we're always 3 on the team. First thing when someone is faint...I always ask if they have a medical condition (in the back of my mind I'm always ready for a diabetes low).
Your Thanksgiving is coming up! I see below in Kathy's comment that you order your turkey...is it an organic fed turkey? Save a bit for Chico!
Take care....thanks for your prayers. It's something I do also....for all ♥ There can NEVER be too few prayers!
baskets of hugs....linda

Hi Reed. Just laid on the couch today and watched movies. Glad you got your turkey ordered. What kind of stuffing will you have?
Are you getting a new grill at Home Depot? That is a store I could go crazy in. Love it.
You know, if you need the Percoset, then take it. We all need to be careful with strong pain meds, but I'm sure the doc wouldn't have given it to you without trusting that ou can take it wisely. So don't suffer unnecessarily.
Wow I just checked the temp and it is 53 degrees. And I haven't been outside for over a week.
Have a good Sunday.

Hello Reed, checking in and saying HI! Clothes dryer failed yesterday after (estimated) 25 years of faithful service. I checked a few things and think it's a $14 igniter... worth a try. Then I fixed the pipe banging from the dishwasher. Plumbing can go smooth or can be brutal, fortunately this one was pretty smooth. Now relaxing and looking forward to dinner. Got back from Elkton Va Thursday - the manufacturing problems were resolved - had to drive my own truck because FEMA has every single rental car reserved in the Tri-State. sorry about the carbon footprint. Take care Reed!

yes Reed, it is impossible to prove, because they just say, "we've decided to go in another direction". or some such bullhockey. mom is getting them to move some of her furniture into the new place. she had 4 rooms, now 2 smaller ones. I'm glad she has a bathroom that will accommodate her walker and also a walk in shower.

we washed all the windows today, it now looks nice looking out again. Sandy really whipped up the dirt and rain on them. one of our neighbors lost 9 trees.

It's taken me all day to have a normal blood sugar. woke up at 4 with a 195, so I took a bolus, by 7 I was even worse 268, feeling just terrible (like the flu) so I changed out and took a big bolus. just took a nice walk and hope I'm good to go.

Hi Mr Gator, sorry about your knees and hope they are a little better.

This morning I went to Mass in South Minneapolis with our mens group to hear a priest on Virtues. We had mass, breakfast, and then the talk. Father was a good speaker, he teaches here at the seminary.

I said prayers for all you guys on the Gator Board. Warm weather again. BG was 81 on wakeup this morning.

Hi Reed,
I can't believe that you had to pay all that money to change your legal paperwork. Next they will be charging for us to breathe. Sorry to hear that your knees are giving you so much pain. I am on some medication for pain called Tramadol, and I don't like it because I still have pain and all I want to do is sleep! I am tired of being tired.
I can't believe it is time for Thanksgiving already, I just remember summer starting and now here it is with Christmas decorations up in the store already. Did you get a new grill yet? Do you have an electric one? We are not supposed to have grills where I live. It is against the rules but if you look, there is one on just about every deck.
It was warm out this morning and I didn't need a coat but coming home from the restaurant it was freezing and I was glad I brought my coat. I left the window open for the cat and now the bedroom feels like ice. Thank goodness for fuzzy pink bathrobes. I have the heating pad warming up the bed and guess who is on it now? Zen.
Today I went to a new doctor. Finally I have my own doctor, the only one from now on, internal medicine, and no more running around to all these different specialists. She was so smart and nice and she spent a lot of time with me and explained that she is into the whole mind body medicine, so I ended up feeling really happy with her. I just had bad liver tests and need an ultrasound, but she thinks that I am good enough to start back to work on Monday. I am excited! I am going to start out working four days for six hours each day. I wasn't even thinking about Thanksgiving, perfect timing to go back just in time for a paid holiday!
We stopped at Apple-bee's on the way home for dinner and I had steak and shrimp. It was strange, nobody there except a few tables, and on Friday. I think people around here are running out of money to go out to eat.
It is already dark out and it is only early evening. Well, hope you have a nice night and the Percocet helps with the knees. Ellen

Hi Mr Gator. I just got done posting on Kathy's page. I am praying for all on he Gator Board.

I went to Lions meeting last night. Tomorrow I am going to a mens breakfast to hear a Priest talk about mens virtues. I need some work on that as I could do better like all of us.

Wakeup BG was 99 I think i had the morning dump of glucose though or dawn effect.

Went to coffee with the retired gang this morning.

Hi Reed. Is Chico visiting?
I am okay, but not great. Did a tiny bit of cleaning yesterday but my place is still a mess. Going to make scrambled eggs with mushrooms and tomatoes for lunch.
Hope you got the pasta cooked for Tom. Does he like mac/cheese? When I was in college I lived in a ramshackle old house with a bunch of girls. Every Friday night we'd make this enormous pot of macaroni and cheese with cut up hotdogs in it. Absolutey delicious. Sometimes had cheap wine too.
Have a good weekend, Reed.

Hello Reed...Sorry to hear that you were sick, i'm glad you are feeling better. No, I haven't found a place yet.....I'm having to wait on my Disability Hearing...need to see if I get approved which means $ and meds paid...it is taking all I get monthly to just buy Insulin, strips, etc. My eyes are okay...noticed a few floaters in left eye and peripheral "Strobe" like waves in both eyes after I use computer read or watch tv, etc. Light really bothers me and some lighting wipes me out vision wise...all things that will be permanent. Holding strong...LOL Hope you have a good Thanksgiving. xo Take care

Hi Reed lovely as always to hear from you. I m not too bad at present. The Doc has lowered my steroid to 7mg and it is a bit of a struggle at present as the pain is there most of the time until I get used to the new dose but it had to be done as I had been taking 8mg for the past 3 months and lots of pain then too.
All's well here and the weather is very mild for November, at present. Hopefully it will last a little bit longer before winter sets in properly.
Mum came over today with my son John. His wife Vanessa wasn't able to travel due to expecting the twins in January but it is nice to have time with just my son as it doesn't happen very often. He is only here for a short stay and will go home Saturday evening. Mum will stay until a week Monday.
I hope yu are feeling better and things are going good for you. Tricia xx

Very unusual about the lack of new members coming in. I fear, however, that this means we will have a sudden onslaught of new members to greet in a day or two....get ready!
The presentations went well yesterday....but I am SO SO tired today!
My first grade 2 class...12:30 to 1 pm, takes it all out of me. In THAT group, there's a boy with Autism and ADHD, another boy who does nothing but whine and lose focus, and one girl who is very capable....but likes to show off and procrastinate. I tell, it's a wonder I haven't got a bottle stashed away in the classroom. It's 4 pm...I'm going for a little nap! Talk to you later :)

Hi Mr Gator. I went to a funneral this mornig and passed on my respects to an old Sunday school teacher I had. He was a good teacher. I am going to lunch with a friend at noon.

Weather here is warm for fall. This afternoon I will work on my Bible Study for next week. I also have a Lions meeting tonight so busy day. Sorry for your aches. I will ask in my prayers to send some help for you.
