Oh Reed, I just love the pics. What a beautiful table with the trivets waiting for the food. and Chico checking things out - he must know something good is coming. What beautiful eyes.
There are people camping in tents in front of Best Buy stores to get bargains at midnight. Some have been there for 3 days. What a bunch of phooey.
I am staying home today and lounging - having tilapia, green beans with almonds, baked root vegetables drizzled in olive oil and pineapple sorbet. Won't eat until maybe 4.
My sister and niece ran this morning in the annual 5K Turkey Trot in downtown Minneapolis. It was a big turnout because of warm weather.
I give abundant thanks for TD and all of my friends. Blessings to all!!!

Hi Mr Gator, Thank you for the kind words on my page. Hoping you Russ and Tom have a great Turkey Day and Thanksgiving. Dont eat too much now.

I laughed this morning looking at all the black Friday ads. Donna would drag me at 5 in the morning to stand in line for the door-busters. LOL

I am just getting ready to go to Thanksgiving Mass and the Rosary to give thanks. Then off to my sisters for the day.

Hi Reed,

Happy Thanksgiving to you, Russ and Tom, sweetie! I just woke up and found the BF in the kitchen busily working on some home cooked cranberry sauce. He has been going at the Thanksgiving dinner hot and heavy now for three days! He has a couple really great dishes that he makes, one is fresh potato salad and the other is fresh fruit salad. I am lucky because everything he makes is sugar free and still tastes great.
I hope you feel okay with the high BG. Sometimes it just makes me kind of sleepy, not too bad in other ways, and I am so happy you have escaped the painful knees in time for the Holiday. I bet that was scary at the cashier when your knee locked. I can walk pretty good now, just sometimes I lose my balance and fall, but mostly that happens at home. The other day I was lucky, fell right into the pile of laundry that BF was getting ready to wash and that was super for me because it didn't hurt at all!
I am so sorry about your sister. That would make a sad memory for me too. I guess we have good memories of our loved ones who passed to try to think about today.
There was supposed to be four of us today, BF, his name is Chris, his friend Joe, and my son Jesse, and me of course, but I think Jesse is going to eat with his best friend's family. I guess he came home from college and that is too tempting for Jesse to miss seeing his best friend.
I think that is nice that you are eating in the dining room and having everything fancy, when you worry is when everyone is eating on a TV table, each in a different room because they don't get along! Here I am going to pull out the good dishes too. Your centerpiece sounds so lovely. You have received so many beautiful things from your students. I know they appreciated all that you did to improve their lives.
Lets see, I guess I will open the drapes and check out the day since I am just waking up - it ends up being lovely, blue sky and sunshine, pretty warm too.
I hope you have a great day. I can't wait to see those pictures of Chico. Will Chico get a bit of turkey too? I guess I will probably give some to Zen.
Ellen

Hi Reed first off I'd like to wish you a happy Thanksgiving and I hope you have a wonderful day. So sorry I haven't been in touch but I've had a few family problems taking up my time here. I am still battleing the Polymyalgia and have managed to get down to 7mg at present which I am really pleased about. Have Mum staying at present and she is enjoying her visit very much. She will go home on Monday and I'll miss her terribly. At the same time Nick and I will be visiting all the family in England this Christmas and will be staying at John and Vanessa's for the Christmas period along with Mum.
Hope everything is going ok with you and they manage to sort out the treatment for your knees so you can be pain free soon. Oh and by the way Nick is having trouble with his shoulder again and is due to have another steroid injection at the hospital again of the 3rd December. Take care Reed. Tricia x

Hi Mr Gator, Dont thank me, thank the Blessed Mother and her Son. They listened. I am so glad you dont need the surgery.

I sent prayers in for you, Russ and all on the Gator board with some Priests for Thanksgiving.

Going to mass in the morning and then to my sisters.

Good Morning Gator, was listening to Pauly's music on his page-and thought about you and how it is hard to get people to go to church at times-and you,if at all possible you are always there.Quite an example..Have a good day sweet Gator..

Oh Reed, I wrote a nice long comment this afternoon and now see that it didn't take. I am mad. In summary I got drops for both eyes and ears after waiting 2.5 hours for Urgent care and 1 hour for pharmacy. Got home just wiped out, laid down and now I am wide awake.

Hi Gator. I went back to work for two days, have the rest of the week off for Thanksgiving. It is actually quite fun to be back at work! The whole program fell completely apart while I was gone and everyone is so happy I am back to fix it. Actually mostly caught up with all my friends and co-workers and it took me one whole day just to take care of all the emails and phone messages. Today I cleaned my office, it was pretty dusty and developed my master plan for when I go back on Monday and really get busy.
I am glad that you got your shots and hope you are out of pain. Can you take some extra insulin to lower your BG, you should ask your doctor for a fast acting pen and just use that to lower it so you won't feel yucky. I am SO happy that you are going to go to the pain clinic. I think it will really help. I got a referral to go as well, but it takes a while to get in.
BF is busily preparing for Thanksgiving already. We are having his friend over because his wife is out of town. He is supposed to be very nice, He is a retired police officer. It will be fun to meet him. There will be four of us. I need to fix up the house so I will do that tomorrow.
Tonight I am just going to read books and relax. Take care. Ellen

HI Reed- So sorry your knees are giving you so much pain. Jim is still trying to regulate his coumadin. His INR won't go above 1.5. It is frustrating him. And I plan to write a Blog about a good friend who passed away on Saturday. He and Jim were best friends for 50 years. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Cat
