Hi Mr Gator. Working on my bible study this morning. I have class tonight at the parish.

Very cold here this morning but next week will warm up. Wakeup this morning was 77 and i felt kinda crummy. I am going low again. I go through spells where I get hypo glycemic I guess and produce to much insulin.

I prayed for you and Russ this morning and hope you have a good day.

oh reed that is frustrating about the computer. try again if you feel like it, or add a blog. we went out last night with ed's brother and his wife. doug got ed a chainsaw for his birthday, which was very nice. now ed won't have to borrow his when we need one. it's pretty cold here, I haven't been out all day. still coughing. but I'm a little better. we are taking care of doug's cat, billie. he loves it here and is very well behaved. what a picture of kathy's spoon. lucky she didnt do any thing worse.

hello Reed, thanksgiving was great, and easy, this year I was only cooking for 5. glad to hear your knees don't require surgery but I hope your pain is getting better. too bad about cortisone - makes my sensitivity go to almost zero. I can compensate with insulin though, but it's always bad. cheers! Joe

Hi Mr Gator. I went to mass last night and was able to get my advent confession in.

There was a big lineup and I went early so I was glad I did.

I then lite votives for all on the Gator board and Donna. Holidays are hard but I reflect on all the many years of memories I had such good times with her.

Working on some paperwork this morning and then have to do my bible study this afternoon.

Hi Reed. I think, knock wood, that I have turned a corner. Had more energy today but still took it easy. Cough nearly gone. PTL.
I had a very close call this afternoon. Was making stir fry with a wooden spatula. Phone rang, so I turned down the flame, set the spatula next to the pan. 5 minutes later my smoke alarm went off and the spatula was smoldering, but not on fire. I sort of panicked and smothered everything with a bath towel.

Well, all okay. And the stir fry was delicious - broccoli, green beans, baby corn water chestnuts and a few shrimp. No soy sauce - too much salt for me to handle.
Just got done watching the week's rerun of Antiques Roadshow. This lady said she had a bracelet that was worn by Marie Antionette. Not so. LOL.
Hope you have a good Sunday and are still enjoying the leftovers.

Hi Mr Gator, I am glad you got the mass card and I hope the Priests from that order say some good prayers for you and Russ.

You know you give to one religious order and they must all share their mailing lists. I must have over a 100 Priests and Nuns chasing me now in my mailbox. LOL

It is winter here now I am sorry to say. I am doing wash this morning.

glad your bg down. I must have pulled a muscle in my abdomen from the coughing. it really hurts. if I'm not significantly better by Monday, I'll call the doctor. I actually slept until 730, very rare for me. of course I was up multiple times during the night. haha actually getting some flurries here at the moment. It's going to get very cold today and tonight. I don't do malls either. I actually don't do Christmas gifts actually except for homemade ones like bread and cookies.

Hi Reed, has your BG come down yet? I guess there's a price to pay for everything. My neighborhood got 3 inches of snow and a extreme temperature drop overnight. I forced myself to get up and dressed at a reasonable hour and now seem to feel a bit better. My pink eye is not going away and the drops are very thick and gunky which makes my vision very blurred.
Valerie, my pillow fluffing friend, stopped over with some raspberry bread pudding and strong black coffee so we watched the old Audrey Hepburn movie "Roman Holiday" and lounged around. certainly much better than goig to the mall.
I hope you have a nice weekend and glad you enjoyed the lights.

Hi Mr Gator. I had a nice Thanksgiving Day. Started out with Mass and I lite votives for my intentions on TU, Gator, Russ, Kathy, Lots, and all the others on the Gator board.

Had a nice dinner. It was good to have a real home cooked meal again.

Weather here is cold, snow and back to winter this morning.

Hi Reed- Your table looks beautiful for T-giving dinner. We ended up going to friends for a lovely meal. Of course I ate too much, but BG was back to normal this morning. Thanks for all of your messages of concern for Jim. He was put on Lovenox, it is an injectable anti-coagulant. The coumadin wasn't doing the trick. Maybe both together will work better. So now he knows what it is to take shots. Chico is a very cute kittie, and she looks at home on your rug. Did she get some turkey ? Hope you have a nice weekend, and stay away from the stores. Cat

Reed, thr table looks just beautiful, lovely flowers too. Glad you had a good dinner. hope your bg calms down soon. darn steroids. mine was 89 this morning. wondering if I can go another day without changing my infusion set. hope Tom can get to the gym soon, haha. I'm going to try for a walk today. I was going yesterday but then I got so fatigued. I can't shake this cough. it's been 2 weeks, just lingering on.

Oh Reed, I just love the pics. What a beautiful table with the trivets waiting for the food. and Chico checking things out - he must know something good is coming. What beautiful eyes.
There are people camping in tents in front of Best Buy stores to get bargains at midnight. Some have been there for 3 days. What a bunch of phooey.
I am staying home today and lounging - having tilapia, green beans with almonds, baked root vegetables drizzled in olive oil and pineapple sorbet. Won't eat until maybe 4.
My sister and niece ran this morning in the annual 5K Turkey Trot in downtown Minneapolis. It was a big turnout because of warm weather.
I give abundant thanks for TD and all of my friends. Blessings to all!!!

Hi Mr Gator, Thank you for the kind words on my page. Hoping you Russ and Tom have a great Turkey Day and Thanksgiving. Dont eat too much now.

I laughed this morning looking at all the black Friday ads. Donna would drag me at 5 in the morning to stand in line for the door-busters. LOL

I am just getting ready to go to Thanksgiving Mass and the Rosary to give thanks. Then off to my sisters for the day.

Hi Reed,

Happy Thanksgiving to you, Russ and Tom, sweetie! I just woke up and found the BF in the kitchen busily working on some home cooked cranberry sauce. He has been going at the Thanksgiving dinner hot and heavy now for three days! He has a couple really great dishes that he makes, one is fresh potato salad and the other is fresh fruit salad. I am lucky because everything he makes is sugar free and still tastes great.
I hope you feel okay with the high BG. Sometimes it just makes me kind of sleepy, not too bad in other ways, and I am so happy you have escaped the painful knees in time for the Holiday. I bet that was scary at the cashier when your knee locked. I can walk pretty good now, just sometimes I lose my balance and fall, but mostly that happens at home. The other day I was lucky, fell right into the pile of laundry that BF was getting ready to wash and that was super for me because it didn't hurt at all!
I am so sorry about your sister. That would make a sad memory for me too. I guess we have good memories of our loved ones who passed to try to think about today.
There was supposed to be four of us today, BF, his name is Chris, his friend Joe, and my son Jesse, and me of course, but I think Jesse is going to eat with his best friend's family. I guess he came home from college and that is too tempting for Jesse to miss seeing his best friend.
I think that is nice that you are eating in the dining room and having everything fancy, when you worry is when everyone is eating on a TV table, each in a different room because they don't get along! Here I am going to pull out the good dishes too. Your centerpiece sounds so lovely. You have received so many beautiful things from your students. I know they appreciated all that you did to improve their lives.
Lets see, I guess I will open the drapes and check out the day since I am just waking up - it ends up being lovely, blue sky and sunshine, pretty warm too.
I hope you have a great day. I can't wait to see those pictures of Chico. Will Chico get a bit of turkey too? I guess I will probably give some to Zen.
