Hi all....just stopping by the homestead to see how the family is doing. I wish you all a very good nigh. Reed...you're way visiting! Good for you. Lots....I know how you feel about the cold...I'm RIGHT there...on the same page! I can NEVER seem to get warm in the Winter! As we speak...I'm wearing cords, 2 thick wooly sweaters and thick socks...all that's missing is mitts!! (but can't type with those lol). Kathy dear Kathy....many hugs. So...was part of the problem a blood clot? Take it slow and easy please ♥ luv and baskets of hugs...linda
Just got in my door - decided to stay for supper at rehab. I am wiped out and now have to sort through all my meds plus the new ones. And, guess who's back on that beast, coumadin? Me. Sigh. But I am intact. Snowing here and very thick coat of ice underneath. Can't wait to speak with al my friends individually.
I heard you were visiting Tom? I hope you had a good time. I am such a sissy. It turned 37 degrees tonight and really windy. I am freezing. My hands got so cold that I stopped on the way home and bought some gloves. I got some leggings too, to wear under my clothes, and of course a bunch of cat stuff that I couldn't resist. I bet Chico missed you. How is he doing?
How did your haircut come out after waiting for it all that time? I am not going for a while. I will let my hair grow to save money after all the Christmas expenses.
Work is going so well. It was a mess at first, but now it is getting organized again. I told them I would quit if they didn't do what I told them, so now everyone is stepping in line. Tomorrow is Friday already. I can't believe it! I love these short weeks.
Do you have any plans for the New Year or any resolutions? I guess mine will be exercise. When we did the Christmas shopping we forgot where we parked the car. We walked so far with all the packages that I thought I was going to have to get a hip replacement the next morning! I guess that is a small hint that I have gotten out of shape.
I bet that Russ is looking forward to going to the nose appointment soon. I hope he is doing okay. I have been thinking about you all. How is Tom's cat doing? I hope that it feels better. Lots.
You have very pretty pictures of your Parish Mr Gator. Thank you for uploading them. Working on some thank you cards and putting away some of the Christmas presents I got. I think I will go to Adoration Chapel today.
Hi Mr Gator. Went to mass yesterday and there were not too many there. They must have went to the night masses.Had a good time at my sisters. We looked at old photographs of my parents and Christmas pasts. How the years fly bye. Hope you and Russ and Tom had a good christmas. Glad you got the good priest too that you can understand.
hi Reed, I really messed up yesterday. I was so focused on the turkey that I forgot to take my bolus before dinner. I had it all calculated out with plenty of carbs for the stuffing and little bit of cranberry sauce, so you know when I started feeling knarly at bedtime I almost fell over when I saw my bg was 459. took a huge correction and another at 3 AM when I was down to 169. finally got in range for breakfast, and proceeded to cut myself on the finger pretty bad. ed saw me do it and he was telling me not to cut that way. now I can't find my anniversary card for him. today is our 26th anniversary (26 on the 26th). last year on our 25th it was a Monday and none of the restaurants were open, so we ate at a Mexican place we both like. this year it looks like a ice storm with possibly 6 or 8 inches of snow, so I better see what's in the freezer.
hope you have some fun on your little trip. how far is it to Gainesville.
How was your Christmas? Mine was fun. Finally got the decorations up just before Christmas dinner. My sister sent us a ham, so that was delcious. Yesterday we went shopping. The mall was pretty calm, and everything was on sale. We forgot where we parked the car though, so had to walk quite a while to find it. It was kind of nice to get the surprise exercise, especially with having to carry the packages. It snowed for about an hour and that was pretty. The storm is probably going to miss us all together, freezing rain, but I bet it melts and I will have to show up at work tomorrow morning. I got a camera, so now I can take some pictures of the cat. Well, time for sleeping. I hope you and yours had a nice celebration today. I really like the new pictures that you put on your page. Nice. Take care. Talk to you Friday after work is done. Lots.
♥ JOYEUX NOËL...MERRY CHRISTMAS ♥ No snow, but a mere dusting around the curb! How's everyone keeping? I was TOTALLY exhausted yesterday after prepping for our family Christmas celebration. Went to the 11:30 Mass this morning....today=taking it easy!! Thank goodness for left overs! BLESSINGS to ALL who visit Reed's page!!
luv and baskets of hugs....linda
hi Reed, Merry Christmas! We have a beautiful couple inches of SNOW here, haven't had a white Christmas in ages. my cranberry sauce came out gorgeous, I'll be careful not to have much, it's got plenty of sugar. no desserts planned here either. looking forward to some turkey and creamed onions and green beans. wow, so pretty outside, peaceful. bg 148
Merry Christmas to the gang!!!!
I am feeling at peace, thankful, and confident that I will be fully returning to my life as it was.
There were some Carole's here last night and I think they'd all had a little too much eggnog - singing off key , goofing up the words, and giggling. What a bunch of goofballs.
They have a Christmas service this morning which I might go to. Then will do some exercises In my room and read by the fireplace , and reflect on how lucky I am to have a strong body that is still kicking.
Much love to all.
Hi Reed- Merry Christmas to you and those you care about. Sorry you were ill last night. We might get some snow today, that would be nice. It was good to read Kathy's note. It is really cold in Minn. 17 today. Tomorrow will be a quiet day for us. Enjoy your Christmas !!! Cat

Hi Gator,
You and Russ are so good about Christmas and the Holidays. I never sent my cards to anyone, no time, so hopefully yours will make it and be for New Year's Day.
I have some good news, amazing actually. It is snowing here, beautiful. I can't believe my dream of snow came true!
We are up to our necks in Christmas decorations now, trying to get them up before we miss the whole thing!
I don't blame you for being a bit like Scrooge, hopefully that will pass and you will enjoy yourself tomorrow. I am so sorry you were sick to your stomach. Every time I barf I am traumatized, scary. I hope you are feeling better.
Later today I hope to go to the mall just to say that I shopped! Most everyone I know had their presents given to them already. I just need to get my sister sent something but I need to find out if she will be at home or is out of town for the Holiday.
I wish everyone at Tu could have a big party, that would be really fun. Tell Russ that I hope he feels better, who knows, when the whole reconsruction is over he might be more handsome than ever! You never know anymore nowadays, bad things sometimes turn out being good.
I hope Tom's cat is not suffering and that things go well with the poor little thing. Have a nice night, tell Tom, Russ, Chico and Toms' cat that I wish for them to have a wonderful Christmas. I will go to mass tonight and I am going to light a candle for you and eveyone in the Reed household. Have a good day and a lovely Christmas Eve. Lots.
hi Reed, glad you're doing better. We are back from the Poconos. My sister has a nice big townhouse there in a old upscale community (just beautiful actually) with many amenities. It sleeps about 12. they play golf there, and it's not far from some ski areas.
we were going to go to NYC today for Christmas, but yesterday we canceled. even though we were going to use Marriott points to make it a cheap vacation, I just don't feel like it. besides, we may get snow and freezing rain tonight and more on Wednesday. so this morning we bought a turkey and we'll do that. not telling anyone else we canceled the trip. bg was 148 when i woke up and I took a small bolus to get it to 120 for breakfast. oh guess todays the day to change infusion sets. glad you're feeling better. that sounded like food poisoning to me. (((hugs)))
Hi Mr Gator, Yesterday I had the chills but got better by night. I am kinda weak but on the mend. I will go to mass tomorrow on Christmas Day. Have to wrap some presents today. I am going to my sisters tomorrow. I think I will go to bed early tonight,
Glad your flu is gone. Hope you get the Priest you can understand for mass. Take care Pauly
Holy Moly Reed....that was a flash flu (thank goodness short lived!) Good thing it got you while you were at home and not at church or shopping!! I got your beautiful Christmas card...thank you so much. I love scenes of Christmases gone by! I still have to mail mine....SO LATE! (Hanging my head in shame). It's good to see that Kathy is doing better...wonder what the heck caused all this!! Haven't done baking yet, as Len still has not put in the new oven element!!
Here's a BEAUTIFUL pic I found...till I post something else for Christmas proper.
Luv and baskets of hugs to you and all in Reedsville ♥

hi Gator, nice to hear from Kathy indeed. By the time my sister got her act together and got up to the Poconos place, it was almost 4, so we had a short visit (saw my grand-nieces ages 3 and 17 mos) and we got the sewing table and left. They had a little snow up there so it was funny seeing the kids' reactions as they live in Ft Lauderdale. Bobby (my nephew) was pulling the 3 yo around the golf course out back on a sled to her delight.
today ed decided to go visit his brother. before he left he started a load of clothes, thank you DEAR, yes, I will fold them all when they're dry. oh well I can do what I want too, which is read the papers. bg was 108 but I'm probably not that any more. sunny here and quite cold, we may be getting snow for Christmas.
