Reed I am furious. I sent you two messages that I know appeared on the screen but now they are disappeared.. Evaporated into thin air. Went for my INR and to get acquainted with my new shrink. He is kind and seem to be very thorough and since I have an eternally long medical history, took a long time to go through. Medical appts always exhaust me so I'm going to take a nap.
oh Reed, bless you! my tears are gone now. I'm with you, I want to sell some stuff. there is a thrift shop where my mother lives, and we are giving them about 10 boxes of stuff. they are also taking the furniture we can't use. trouble is, my mother has been buying stuff there herself for the past 17 years. LOL. anyway, I've been looking online and may be setting up something on ebay. anyway, I don't think ed and I are going down there again anytime soon. my brother is getting someone to move the remaining furniture this week, and then my sister will go down once again to do the walk-through on the 31st. I am just a wreck. tomorrow I am going out with some friends from the guild. we simply must get started on the 2014 raffle quilt. it's going to be really different from the last one, we want something modern and contemporary. please have a good day. if russ has the same thing ed and I had, it takes at least two months to get over the coughing.
Reed, please don't leave. I just got back from my mother's, it was just awful, and then we drove home for six hours in the fog, at one point it was so bad I couldn't see anything it seems (thank God Ed is a good driver). and now I feel like crying, just the thought of you leaving. please please please don't. you must take a little break from welcomes and birthdays. we all need to take some time off from the computer sometimes. I know even Manny disconnects several times a year COMPLETELY. it's important for your mental health. even the admins get scheduled time off. so I am asking you just to take a break, mark your calendar for however long, two weeks, one week, or until next month. bg 186, stress.
Hi Mr Gator. It is -1 below here. Very cold. Went to mass this morning. Tomorrow I have to help the priest with a funeral service and usher for a lady of the parish who passed away at the age of 94. Just watching football today and working on my bible study.
I will pray for Russ it sounds like he needs some help Pauly.
Hi Reed, Happy Sunday to you! What a beautiful song Spring sent to you. It was foggy and warm this morning. It is still 53 yet, it is almost about to get dark. Saturday always seems to be my hardest day. That is the day I get rid of all the stress built up during the week; the day I am tired and need to rest. Sunday is the day I begin the week and the day I learn the most, and also prepare for the week to come. We are having corned beef tonight. It has been in the slow cooker all day, and it smells so good right now. I am looking forward to dinner for sure. I have been sorting things today. Tomorrow I have to go to the doctor before work. I keep getting new ones. I hope this time it will be the last time to switch. I am feeling really good and starting to go for walks again, mostly at night when I get home from work. I am planning one after dinner. They finally put a new bench right in front of the lake behind my apartment. It was the only lake that didn't have one. It is so nice to sit there after a walk and then go inside. I hope you are having a good day too. I really liked that quote you sent in you mail. Very thoughtful, but you always have the best quotes! Lots.
Gator ,thank you for your prayers for us always.I was looking for a video for your page.I started looking through a few and when this one began-I said this one--then I heard the words in the video that I sent to you in a email this morning..Where does my help come,my help comes from the Lord..I would call that a God Wink :)
Hi Mr Gator, Went to morning mass and confession afterwords. Glad you and Russ are on the mend. BG was 96 on wakeup. I still have shoulder pain but it is better today. I have been battling this for the past 5 years. Will try your Walgreens pain pills though. I am happy Tom got his new title too. Must make you very proud of him,
Hey there Reed!!!!! Can you here me from where you are? TGIF TGIF TGIF TGIF TGIF TGIF TGIF TGIF TGIF TGIF!!!!!!!! I am so ELATED to have "achieved" Friday!! How are you feeling?
All is well here...not nearly as tired as I was Monday and Tuesday! I was totally wiped then! Starting on the next round of report cards already!
I have to turn them in on Feb. 11th for proofreading. Think Len and I will go out for dinner tonight, just for a break. Warm today (40)....even warmer tomorrow....up to a balmy 55! We have patches of snow here and there. Not to worry though....we will pay our dues in February for certain! To answer your question, Canada doesn't have food stamps, what is done rather is a cheque is given out to those on Social Assistance (Welfare). Likely less humbling (?) There are food banks and such here for the needy. The Catholic Church has a St Vincent de Paul Society, where we donate canned and dry goods, and boxes of food are delivered to certain homes at Christmas or when needed....along with a cheque for perishable foods.
Russ must be so happy now, with his "new nose"!
luv and baskets of hugs....linda
HI Reed- Glad to hear that your cold is better. I didn't think getting colds in FL was permitted. LOL We are good here. Jim is still waiting to get his stockings from the hosp. pharmacy. He will get his INR results from the Lab today. He just misses eating green veggies. He was a rabbit in his first life. My BG aren't too bad. BG this AM was 119. Any plans for the weekend? Glad that Russ' nose is repaired. Hopefully, his surgery days are over. It is supposed to go up to the 60's on Sunday. I am sure it won't last. Regards to Chico !!!! Cat
Hi there Gator, How are you feeling? Is your cold better yet? Good for Russ that the nose came out well. I think it is cute he has to shave his nose for a while, at our age we all have to start shaving in weird places! I have been busy with work. Things are going so well there. I guess being sick and in pain all that time made my a bit more fiesty because I don't put up with nonsense like I used to and things are going much better with a few new rules and boundaries. My job is really getting fun. Our weather is nice. I started walking again. You would be so proud of me because I have lost so much weight. I will put a new picture on my page as soon as I figure out how to use the new camera I got for Christmas. I still haven't gotten to it yet, maybe this weekend. I am glad you gained a pound. You are welcome for the card, my pleasure sir. I am thinking of starting to paint again. If I can get half way decent maybe I will paint a little picture for you. That sounds fun. See you later alligator. Lots
reed, russ might have some kind of allergy. when was the last time you bought new pillows? I have one of those temperpedic ones. i like it even better than down pillows.
I always do the corned beef in the slow cooker. also pot roast w/ apples, Bavarian style, and a curried chicken and a sheer chicken breast thing. I usually do pork shoulder slow roasted in the oven or stove top, Mexican style, like carnitas. mmm so good. let me know if you want recipes, when I get back, I'll mail them to you.
DO NOT DWELL IN THE PAST,DO NOT DREAM OF THE FUTURE,CONCENTRATE THE MIND ON THE PRESENT MOMENT. Gator, this saying you gave us-Luv it-going to use it all day today-perfect timing. Thanks friend :)

I think we all have bad days at times. It is ok to just take a break to regroup and take care of yourself. I just would hate to have you leave us.
