HI Reed- I haven't been on for a few days. I had some intestinal problems and had to go to the GI doc. He did a test and gave me some pill which he said should help. Jim is doing well, his INR's have been 2.4 two times. His compression stocking have been working well. Glad your eye is getting better. My BG's have been pretty good, staying in my goal zone. Hope you have a Happy Valentines Day. Cat
Hi Reed, Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you have a great holiday, and Russ and Tom as well. I got the results of my blood tests back and they were positive. A MRI is scheduled for Wednesday next week. I am off to work. Have a super fantastic Valentine's Day. Hugs and Kisses. Lots
Hi Reed. Just like spring here today - way above freezing with big puddles of water everywhere. It felt good. I did fix my glasses, with Krazy Glue and wire. They are a bit fragile. Do you give up anything for Lent?
Hi Mr Gator. I went to mass this morning and got ashes on my head. The church was full which is nice to see. Then i went to the foot dr for my terrible toe nails.
Sounds like you had a good TOPS day. I am praying for you and the little babies
hi reed, just ok here, I'm in the middle of making some sourdough bread. that always peps me up to smell the dough and then when it comes out all nice. I want to take some to neighbor who had a surgery today.
hope you can get someone to sign for the lady. it's very expensive to pay a translator. 30 years ago when I was doing it, people got 35 to 50/hour for doing it. it's very intense and not easy to do. I almost thought about doing it as a side, but I really wasn't good enough. bg 135
Hi Reed. My computer is giving me problems too. And I've had it for less than six months. It is too big for me to take to the Apple Store by myself, so I guess I'll have to have my sister help me on a weekend. Temp was just above melting today, so we had some slush going on. they say snow later this week with possibly heavy accumulation this weekend. Who knows. Who cares.
hey reed how are u doing???? Sorry i haven't been by lately but my hubby has been having some problems and goes to the dr tomorrow to see about another surgery how's russ doing? U know how it goes sometimes life decides to upset uir daily way lol
hi Reed, yes we had guild. I had all the kits for the 2014 raffle quilt and 56 out of 64 of them went home with members. I hope they are careful and precise. woke up at 4 and never went back to sleep. bg 194, stress.....
Hello Reed, Glad to hear your eye problem is resolving. I'm OK, just tired. Have had a lot to keep me busy. Had a abscess on the gum between 2 upper teeth. Painful, the Dr drained it & now am on antibiotics for 10 days. Well the time is getting closer. We will be in Long Island Friday-Sunday helping Kevin & Jen move in. Busy time for them & a lot for Jen being 7 months pregnant, starting a new job & the big move. The following week we spent Friday-Sunday in Pittsburgh. Pete is moving out of his apartment & into a house. He is accumulating stuff & needs storage areas. Joe is still working until May but it's difficult as he watches a lot of his friends go. Every week a new bunch leave. His best friend left last week. The weather has been awful. Cold, we were lucky and only got 6 " of snow but yesterday freezing rain.Just having a hard time keeping up with everything. My stmach has bee ok about 75% of the time. But still can't gain weight. Wishing for some warmer weather. Strange news about the Pope retiring.Maybe they shoud try to pick someone younger. Hope everyone in your house stays well. Take care <3 <3 Joanne
Hi my friend. I am so glad Lots checked in. I was worried about her. They were interviewing a number of folks from the local Catholic community re the pope stepping down. Seems they had mixed feelings. We only got 3-4 inches of snow, but they declared a snow emergency This means if you park on the street, you have to move your car between various times to accomodate the plows. If not, it will be taken to the impound lot where you have to stand in line and pay about $200 cash to spring it.
Yes the mail order pharmacy is a pain. In speaking with them today, I found out that one of the distribution centers was located in the middle of the east coast blizzard, which has further delayed things. But, I got to the local pharmacy today to pick up my interim supply.
Yipee - it's Monday night, which means AntiquesRoadshow.
I think that congunctivitis takes seven days to go away with antibiotics. I hope that it kicks in very soon for you. Eat some parsley on a salad. It is great for the immune system. I hope that your eye gets better soon.
I just had the blood tests for my liver today. For some reason they lost the referral that the doctor sent over to the lab and I had to wait until today to go. They weren't open on the weekend. I had to answer all kinds of personal questions, even nationality and race, sheesh. There was a bar code on my paper hospital bracelet. Big Brother is watching! I don't mind. My life is so not exciting that I have nothing to hide. We recycle, and even rinse out the cans. I think we are safe! Chris does all that. He is very fussy about it. I could not believe it. I had to show my license, another ID as well. Only one tube of blood drawn, and it took over an hour to get that done with no wait, just all that information put into the database which took forever.
I ended up in that gift shop again! Cheap earrings, but so pretty. They are hanging silver ones that look like they came from Persia, you know that delicate design pattern from about 4,000 years ago? I also found a neat scarf that is in a small circle. It can be worn six different ways, around the head and neck, pink and purple. Chris got a note pad for the grocery list. It says "What the %@*^ did I forget to write down? Funny. We have new neighbors upstairs and they are so weird they never go anywhere ever, and they just keep walking around the house all day, so squeaky. I can hear the floor making noise.
Tomorrow I am going back to work. I can't wait. I am getting cabin fever. I wil be glad to bust out of here. I will be so happy to see all of my friends again. I have been off a whole week now. I feel so much better. I stopped taking one of my blood pressure medications and my blood pressure went DOWN. Go figure. I bet if I quit them all that it would be normal.
It is warm and grey outside. I am going to go for a walk after dinner, most likely. I am looking forward to it. Zen is going for a walk too if she wants to go outside. I picked up a pink harness for her today. I found something so cool, slippers with mop things on the bottom. Now I can put them on and clean the bathroom floor! What will they think of next? I thought that was an excellent idea, really.
The pope really resigned? I hope that he isn't sick. Time for dinner, saurkraut and turkey sausage, low fat.
Hi Reed. I noticed your note to Pauly; glad your eye is improving.
Couldn't resist commenting on the idea of an American pope. Had a long talk with our local priest some time ago and he told me quite emphatically that there won't be one for as long as America continues as a superpower. He says the rest of the world, and especially Europe, thinks we are powerful enough already and so will always give the job to someone else.
Just one person's view, of course, but I thought that it was worth sharing, as food for thought if nothing else.
I'm betting on Latin America next time the throne becomes vacant. We shall see.
hello reed, I am back. glad to hear your eye is a little better. I agree, you should be wearing sunglasses in addition to taking the drops. My uncle's funeral was the most beautiful I've ever been to. his wife is from Scotland, and her nephew came in full kilt dress, and played the bagpipes to lead the procession. the choir was awesome, and the tributes to him were lovely. too bad my mother had to behave like she did, it's such a burden to deal with her. she was elbowing her way to the the altar to take communion, PLEASE mother, there's time and enough bread for all of us.
we got back and there wasn't too much snow here. funny because ed's brother go 14 inches and he's less than an hour away. today very icy and ed crawled his way to the top of the driveway to take the trash out. bg 119
