Hi Janet.. nice to hear from you. I was also on Creon for over a year but no longer on it. Seems I have enough function to digest so far. I've been off it over a year and I'm doing fine. Good luck to you.

I am going to assume that you would be helping your son, if he were to get a pump, Depending on the severity of this learning disability. I believe it would still be managable, as long as he know that is must not be removed until it is time to be changed and with help in using the PDM, it is a pretty self explanitory device with simple and few buttons to push to recieve a bolus of insulin, so depending on your situation I would say it would be great.

NO, the pump I use and the pumps anyone uses, isn't based on how well you are controlled or not, although the pump in my opinion does give tighter control.

I can truly sympathize....a pet, is like a child.....there's no denying that they impact the family. For such a little animal, Meeko has left her pawprint on my heart, and a huge void in our lives!
