I'm not on Facebook, but I do know things work differently here at TuDiabetes. being "friends" here means you can privately message each other.

I have lots of African American friends here with type1, and one of my best friends here is a young African with type1 living in London, Osob. I'll send you a link to her page if you'd like.

I have good friends in Houston. I remember once being there and they had the most incredible fireworks show going all over the city! This was about 10 years ago. The most important quilt show in the world is there every year in the fall at the convention center.

Hello and thank you all for your warm welcomes. I'm new to this networking thing so it may take me a lil while to get used to how it all works. I added a couple of comments to my "wall" but I'm not sure if anyone is able to see them since I have not selected any as "friends". I did manage to upload my picture so that's progress - lol. So you all may know (any who are able to see this comment), I've also recently started a blog, so far, I've only made three entries but I love to write and with this blog I hope to have an outlet for myself, the ability to say the things that I feel need to be said, things that are on the "inside" and I also hope that this blog can be an outlet and encouragement for those who may not be able to, or may not quite know how to say what they are feeling on the inside. If you'd like, check it out at thewriteheart.com Thanks again for the welcome and I hope that I can keep up :)
