Welcome to our wonderful family. We are a very caring and supportive group. Questions? Please feel free to ask us. May I suggest you call your doctor at once. WELCOME!!!
Understand denise that this is a personal opinion. I am not a doctor. I have T2 and use lantus.
If your meter alweays reads "high" and this morning you were at 356 I would say yes, you need to move the insulin up. BUT GET WITH YOUR DOCTOR. Don't go making a lot of changes on your own unless you are very familiar with how YOU react to the insulin.
Might need to take the carbs down in your meals too.
If you are not seeing and endo (diabetes doctor) and you have insurance...find one. You need to get this BG under control.
Welcome to the family! On this forum you will learn so much. Most of all you will learn that you are not alone. Everyone here is supportive and will provide answers to your questions. Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment. Most of all there is family to talk to and even to vent to, if needed. Welcome home.
