Hello! How Do You Do, and....HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you Frances.... Best Wishes NOW....and on the next 365 days (it's a leap year)!
How's it all going? Do you have any questions or comments?
Just posted a reply to your travel tips - I thought you were Canadian - with your mention about Cuban food - but nope - you are American. Keep up the good work with maintaining your blood sugars with diabetes/exercise. Next life I hope that if I do get diabetes - I get Type 2 - tho' Type 1 hasn't been that bad over the past 40+ years - I'm still alive and kicking - that's the main thing.
Thanks for the advice. I'll have to go switch my meter after my tax return comes in. There is only a Walgreens nearby; the nearest Walmart is in another county. I guess I'll go get the one at Walgreens.
Happy Birthday Frances! I enjoyed your story of "diabetic's small world". a few years ago, I was sitting at my quilt guild meeting, listening to a speaker, and I was lazily looking around the room, when I saw at the next table a member with a pump stuck in her back waistband! I pulled my pump off the clip and held it in my hand, and when I caught her eye, I just waved my pump at her a bit, we just laughed so. We actually have a handful of type2s at the guild, so nobody bats an eye when someone pulls out a meter. I bolus and test right at the President's table, and we have another type2 on insulin and she shoots up with no fanfare or comments.
Hi there, I can see where you are coming from in your blog. Sorry that cyclone picture came out to be so huge.. I didn't know that it was going to be so big.
It is because of the stress of changing the diet is all. We are eating less so we are getting less nutritents. It takes the body a while to adjust and the hair is the last place on the body that gets what ever nutrients are available so if we are not getting alot, the hair suffers. Funny though, before I wasn't really eating foods that had alot of nutrients. It is really is a hard thing to balance. B Vitamins are really important for hair along with the protein.
Hi Frances, I was just wondering if you found out anything else about your hair loss problem?. Did you have any additional tests done? Mine has definately slowed down since about a month ago when I was shedding quite a bit. I cut a bunch of my hair off because the ends were pretty dry and that helped out. :) Plus protein drink/vitamin, circulation, jojoba oil all seems to be helping ...hope it stays that way!:)
