Hi Robyn! Thanks for the check-in; always nice to know when people are thinking of you! I've been so freakin' busy I'm going to meet myself coming home one day, but it sure beats having nothing. Jealous of your CA sunshine but we will have sun again soon -- I hope! Rihgt now I'm just enjoying not roasting 'cuz I know it's coming!

I liked everything about the Pod that was presented to me by the rep. The Minimed rep just called a few minutes ago and was trying her best to get me to upgrade with their system. LOL It didn't work....

I've decided to go with the OmniPod setup after talking with the Rep this evening. I like the technology behind it and will not miss the tubing!

Hi Robyn...just dropping by. Quick update on the Pod, on my 6th pod and have to change this one in the morning but so far so good. I've not had any problems with any pods to far an it's going good. Have some learning to do yet with some meals that I've not had in a long time.. Gave the little Pod a workout the other day and ate the most carbs that I've had in a long time... think I put down just short of 80 in one meal but didn't take long with french fries and an ice cream cone...First time I had fries in 2 years! I'm sure I didn't count the carbs just right and I was a little apprehensive to over bolus but was about 180 at the 2 hr mark, did a little correction and was 120 at 3 hrs...so I think it works! So let me know what your endo says when you talk about the pod or pump! I'll keep asking to you don't forget to discuss :) Take care!!

Thanks for caring, Robyn. I don't have time for me. My son and I have switched lives as I now take care of him 24/7 and he is bed bound and going stir crazy. I can't sleep and been very exhausted. This weekend my blood pressure kept going way low for me. I usually have high blood pressure and it has been staying about 100/70.

How is Lois? I don't have her number where she is right now and worry about her all the time! Does she sound strong! She really has a fighting spirit and needs it right now!

BS not that good yesterday now it's at 180 maybe tomorrow will be better. Our driveway is GONE along with some roads and bridges here. Right now we can get out of our house but oh well their closing roads everywhere. The road that runs paralle to us and where my daughter lives is closed along with our by-pass that has always been open! Want to hear a good one????
