Isn't that the truth! It feel the loss the most acutely when I unpack the Christmas ornaments every year, and see the ones from my childhood. She bought us each a new one each year. Special ones when I got married, graduated from med school, had my first baby.... The last one I have - I bought matching ones for me and Mom the summer she was dying - a clear ball filled with sand and shells. Her favorite place was the beach. I have both of them hanging on my tree each year.... I am a big cry-baby when I unpack the ornaments.
Thanks for welcoming me. :) San Jose is a great place, and I've come to appreciate it more since moving to the Midwest! I'm sorry to hear of your struggles with being diagnosed. I'm fortunate to never have gone into DKA (that I know of?) but still face down a myriad of health issues. Ah, the life of a diabetic!

lady your up to late LOL, it's almost 2 a.m. here. I'm going to omnipod info session on wednesday! i can't wait, i called the lady in charge and she is type 1 and uses the pod to! I took my humalog twice today!! Watch out world!
thanks Robyn,It was an interesting weekend.I had a awful A1C 8.3 last week,but i have been feeling lousy for months.I might have an idea what it is .Now to see the Doc with my theory.I really need to be on afast acting insulin.I am thinking of trying Apidra.My pancreas is just about finished.If you have any recomondations I am open for suggestions.Take care Bob
