Hi , I'm organizing a Support Group/meetup for people with type one diabetes in the Tucson area, Jan 17, 7-9pm. I'd love it if you'd come, as I'm really wanting to connect in person with some other people with diabetes here in Tucson. Please let me know if you're interested, and if you are, let me know if there's a better time/date to meet. Thanks!
best,
Lucia Maya

Hello! How's it going Aaron...any questions/suggestions? Take a peek at some of the other groups available when you get a chance, OK?
I am part of the Welcome Committee and was just checking in on you to make sure you are aware of all that TuDiabetes has to offer. We would love to hear from you so here is a helpful link where you can read about all the things you can do in the community.
Bernstein rights about fat, as well, but I'm not an expert on this topic. I think his book is a good investment--- or post a question about it. There are many in this community that follow some version of Bernstein's plan!
I hope that CGMS would help you a lot! I would also be interested, but it's not available yet in Hungary (where I live)-- meaning that the national health insurance doesn't cover it yet! I hope to be able to try it out soon though... we'll see!
Hey, Aaron. Left you a comment in the pumping forum, but wanted to welcome you to tudiabetes! My husband has been laughing at me because since I joined about a week ago, I spend barely any time on facebook like I used to. This is such a great group of people! See you around!
Hi Aaron! Sounds like you are facing a lot of things that many of us in the community face--- so you came to the right place :)
I'm trying to adjust my diet now as well.... I have looked into a less extreme version of the Bernstein diet. Do you know about him? His ideas make a lot of sense, but he calls for VERY low carb... I've started no carb breakfasts... and having great morning blood sugars is nice.
I've never heard of a 22 year honeymoon before! But i think that often our bodies go through changes and we need to readjust. It seems like a never ending process...
I hope that you will enjoy the new pump!! Have you considered the CGMS?
