Grr, Another blank comment. You can tell I don't hang out here much. Sorry you can't use the rowing machine, but I'll be able to sell it. Hope you find some other way to exercise; personally I think its critical to keeping healthy as a T1, though I don't have anything to prove it. (Plus it makes you feel better). Good luck.
Sorry, blank comment. I don't use this board any more, but saw your post about breaking your leg and needing exercise. I grew up in Belmont and live close by. If you are able to exercise your leg, and are just afraid of falling, then a rowing machine may be a perfect exercise for you. No chance of falling and you get excecllent full-body workout (legs, arms, back, abs, etc). I started rowing in college and have kept at it ever since. It is excellent exercise. Anyway, I have a spare rowing machine that you could have (free) if you think it would be useful. It is a Concept2, which is the best rowing machine available, though it is an older model. But it works perfectly. It is the kind they have in all the health clubs. So if you think you could use it, please respond back. I live close enough that I could easily drop it off. p.s. I've had T1 for 37 years.
Greetings, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY Cinderfella.....
Best Wishes on your Special Day....and on the next 364 days!
How's it all going? Do you have any questions or comments?
Hi Cinderfella, I am so glad that I found this site too. I was really feeling awful about my health but the support has been awesome and I have learned so much in such a little time. I am really appreciative of what you and DC said because it helped me to look for the things that I could change to help make me feel better. My BS has impoved greatly just from following the advice that I found here and I have been reading and reading to learn as much as I can. I too am thankful for the wonderful people that I have met. Glad to meet you too! I am the only one in my family with diabetes allso and it is good to have others to point me in the right direction when I falter. Thanks again.
