Congrats on your pregnancy Diana! I was excited to see your post!
I got pregnancy with an A1c of 6.5. We figured we would start trying as it would probably take a few months, but it didn't :-) My A1c stayed between 6.0 and 6.5 throughout the pregnancy.
Hope that you are feeling OK! I remember how intense this time was, but as we all say: it is totally worth it!!!
Hey! Diana, you mean you start pumping and sensor the same day? Thats so cool . My brother is on cgms. I ready for the next plunge. When that day comes it will be a god sent.
Hey Diana, How long have you been pumping? Also how long before you started on sensors? Both my brother and i are pumpers. He is also cgms. WELL TAKE CARE diabeticidol94
Hey Diana! I am new to this site and saw a forum in which you asking about advice from a pumper. I see you got yours, but I want to share that you should really rotate your sites so scar tissue is left to a minimum. I got mine in 1992 and only rotated from each side of my navel for a long time-now I have goose eggs there! Other than that, it has really kept me healthy. By the way, I love the dog in the photos-name? How're things in Louisiana?
Looking forward to your updates. After a day full of yard work (and low BG's) yesterday, I'm really thinking more of the CGMS. Of course, I received my non-CGMS-compatible pump exactly five days before they announced the release of the new one, so I'll probably have to wait years before I'm eligible for a replacement (or fork over a ton of $$$). Oh well. Glad to hear its working out for you.
Diana,
Just started reading your early blog posts about the CGM. Do you still sing the same praises you did when you first got it? I've been hesitant, but since my son was born, Iooking after him often takes priority over looking after myself... and I've gotten into some near-trouble because of it.
Thanks for sharing your stories - it helps so many of us help with our treatment - and to help know we're not alone.
