you're welcome Holger, I have noticed these international #doc chats are becoming quite popular. there's one for UK, Australia, and I think one for Africa or Nigeria. oh and of course here, #dsma on Wed nights. I was trying to see if we could add some new folks to the German speaking group here.

Our Annual Campaign is coming!

Would you consider helping by writing a short comment/testimonial about your
experiences at TuD? The main message for the campaign this year is that no
one with diabetes should ever feel alone. Messages from our community give
people a real-life, personal sense of how valuable TuDiabetes is to each of
us, how it's changed our lives, etc.

If you can, please include a photo of you doing something diabetic (if that
makes sense LOL). Please post to this group
(http://www.tudiabetes.org/group/why-i-participate-in-this-community), or message to me from my page.

Thanks my friends!

Thanks. So far it looks good.

One question. What do the numbers beside the time and bg field on the entry screen represent?

Thanks, I will check out the new beta. There are a couple comments I have already (not sure if they've been addressed or not).
My units are set on the website as mmol/L and they appear that way for the data entry on the Android app, but when I view my log in the app they show as mg/dL (they show properly on my log on the website).
Also, I've noticed that the correction factor doesn't always work inside the app (I suspect, but can't recreate right now, that it is when I just want to correct a high but am not entering any carbs). It works as expected on the website or using the smartphone web interface.

You are quite welcome, Holger. I will be going to Boston to contribute again in 2013. Dr Faustman is quite an able researcher, and a wonderful person to talk to as well. Thank you for keeping her research in the forefront.
God bless,
Brunetta

Hello Holger,I would want to share about my NGO.
I am currently a chairperson of newly created NGO "Georgian Union of Patients with Diabetes" The Union has been founded in May, 2011 with the initiative of people suffering from diabetes- uniting Georgians (and not only) with diabetes and their family members (since 1988 I have had type 1 diabetes). Union is non-profit organization focusing on diabetes management, protecting the social and health rights access in the society, provides them currently education program known as "Diabetic School" for free. You might know that there are main problems of healthcare and cure of diabetes in Georgia, Since 1996 patients receive insulin for free. For the necessary equipment (syringes, self-control equipment, test-strips etc.) and medications for the treatment and prevention of late complications patients have to pay partly themselves.
Average net salary per month is 300 GEL (120 EUR)
Average pension is 80 GEL (35EUR). of Gorn Union of patienys with Diabetes.
As you see there is difficult situation about healthcare system in Georgia, with my enthusiasm and with the biggest wishes to help them, I wanted to change that hard condition in my country
As newly Organization any type of assistance is very im[portant to us! If you have any kind of idea how to give voice to International and non-goveermental Organizations that exist such type of Union wich would want to help patients with Diabetes in Georgia?!
Yours sincerely,
Natali
