Kawasaki didn't stay with the shaft drive machines too long, so 1979 and 1980 might have been the only two years to have that 'feature'. We got the 1979 version, two of them... no it wasn't a "buy-one-get-one-free" deal! But we made a pretty dynamic-looking duo on the highway, side by side, on the big machines, especially 30 years ago.

These touring bikes probably seem too huge 'n heavy for your lady, but the riding part isn't much different than a smaller bike - gears on the left, brakes on the right - the usual stuff. I would have trouble now if I dropped it, but then so would my hubby and he's a big guy! Tell your lady the view is better from the front row and she won't have to worry about bumping helmets with anyone! :-)

Thanks Jim. Nice touring ride you got. Does your lady drive it at all or is she relegated to the throne on the back? I did a little touring of WA many moons ago and loved it. Have you taken your bike up to Canada lately? Nice country on either side of the border there.
I left a couple pictures of my 79 Kaw 1000 at the bikers group. I've only begun to see what's behind all the doors in this place, but it sure seems like a great place to meet good folks.

Thanks, Jim. I am finding very helpful information here related to both the Omnipod (tried what another lady said about using the top part of her leg) and it worked great! Also interested in hearing other people's comments on the Dexcom. I am in my 2nd week of using it.

Thanks for the welcome. I see you're a postal carrier, which is probably why you have an enviable A1C. I am a high school teacher, and one year my kids were so awful that I bought some books and considered taking the civil service exam. I thought, "Hey, I could get paid for exercising! Awesome!" Unfortunately, that was also the year of the ANTHRAX! heehee, I guess every job has its pitfalls. :) Thankfully, the kids improved.
