I agree with you, Jim, I think I should. These days many grandparents are involved in the care of their grandchildren. We are a step removed from the role of the parents, but want to know how best to be supportive. I know personally that I would appreciate having other grandparents of diabetic grandchildren with whom to share ideas, concerns, etc.

Hi Jim. As I have mentioned to others who so quickly responded to my new membership, I am truly surprised. I usually just "lurk" on sites like tudiabetes, but this time I thought I'd get a little more involved. Of course I'll be your friend.

Jim, Thanks for your welcome! I am trying to navigate this site to see if you have a support group for grandparents of diabetic children. So far I have unable to find anything. Can you help? Thanks! Cathy

Thanks Jim, Happy New Year to you and yours too!! :D We are now just trying to stay warm, we live in the Kansas City area so we have snow everywhere right now. I kind of like snow, but then, I don't have to get out into it either. My poor little rat terrier doesn't like getting her belly cold so she is really not liking to take it outside these days. LOL Have fun when you can! donnainks
