Shannon! Thank you so much. I just got home from my CASA class and checked my email and saw your post. I never expected someone to buy them I was just hoping maybe someone had changed types and had some extra. You are so sweet and I will never forget your kindness, and neither will my Jacob! God Bless!!

I dunno. Frustrated. On pump for 3 months my a1c went from 8.9 to 6.7. I was stressed out to max because I was getting married. At 6.7 he approved for me to get preg. Now no way!!

Thanks btw for being helpful. I am learning everyone is different with their diabetes. Everyone I know was diagnosed as in 40s as type 2.

Ok they faxed me my results. I was not fasting. I do know that. It was 12:30 in afternoon. C peptide was 2.7. Glucose was 121. Gad antibodies just said <5.0. Didn't give a number. Islet test was not ran.

So type 2 then?

Thanks Shannon. He ran some tests in August. I have an appointment in Dec. I will follow up to find out what the levels were. Do you know if there is a site that shows whats low or normal levels? I have pondered about getting the blood work results.

I totally understand. when I saw the (justifyably) elation of melissaBl here and Kerri at their pregnancies, I had a mini-meltdown. I'm 55 and have been d for 42 years. back when I got married at age 32, the doc said if you want kids, you better have them asap. I waited too long. we tried adoption, and I came very very close to getting a baby, in fact, my friends had already given me a shower, and the day it was born, she changed her mind. so it still can get me crying although it was more than 15 years ago. thanks for listening....

Shannon, thanks for replying on the discussion about diabulimia. You never know how many others you have helped by your comment. I checked out your blog, too. Wow, that cancer group sounded amazing!

We have a Group here called Oh Baby, for those wanting to have a baby. We've recently had a few members have babies, and a few well into their pregnancies. I was not able to have one myself, but that's a whole other story. Things are so much better now for type 1s.
